Okay, so I decided to tackle this whole “3M Leaderboard 2024” thing. I’d seen some buzz about it, and figured, why not? Let’s dive in.

Getting Started
First, I dug around to figure out what this leaderboard was even about. It’s basically a ranking system, seems like, for… something. Sales? Performance? It wasn’t super clear at first.
I found the main page. There it was, a big, shiny leaderboard. Lots of names, numbers, and… not much else. It was kind of intimidating, to be honest.
Making Sense of It All
Next, I tried to understand the metrics. What were these numbers even measuring? Were they points? Dollars? Pineapples? It took some serious squinting and clicking around.
- I started clicking on names, hoping for more details.
- Some profiles had more info than others. A bit inconsistent.
- I noticed some patterns, like certain names appearing near the top repeatedly.
My Own “Tracking” (Sort Of)
Since I didn’t have a dog in this fight, I decided to just track a few names. I picked a couple near the top, a few in the middle, and one way down at the bottom. Just to see what happened.
I didn’t have any fancy tools, so I just used a simple spreadsheet. Name, rank, and any notes I could find. Old school, I know.
The “Results” (or Lack Thereof)
I checked back every few days. Honestly, not much changed. Some names moved up a spot or two, others dropped down. The person at the bottom… well, they stayed at the bottom.
My big takeaway? Leaderboards are… leaderboards. They show who’s on top, who’s not, and that’s about it. Without context, it’s just a bunch of names and numbers. I learned that I prefer to know the story behind the numbers, you know?
It was a fun little experiment, but I’m not sure I’ll be obsessively tracking this particular leaderboard in the future. I got more interested in what each of persons may be doing.
