Okay, so I needed to dig up the player stats for that Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls game recently. You know, sometimes you watch a game, or maybe you miss it, and you just want to see the hard numbers. Who scored what, who grabbed the boards. It’s not always about the highlights they show you everywhere.

Starting the Hunt
So, I sat down, opened up my trusty old web browser. Didn’t have a favorite spot bookmarked or anything, just figured I’d search like anyone else. Punched in something basic, probably ‘cleveland cavaliers chicago bulls player stats’ or close to it. You know how search engines are, they throw a wall of stuff back at you.
Sifting Through the Junk
Got a bunch of results, naturally. News headlines screaming about who won, video clips, betting odds – everything but the simple list I wanted at first glance. Had to scroll past all that. I wasn’t looking for opinions or hot takes, just the plain box score. Found links to a couple of the big sports networks, the ones everyone knows. Clicked on the first one that looked promising, maybe it was the official league site, maybe another big name, they all kind of blend together nowadays.
Then you land on their site, and it’s another little maze. Gotta find the ‘Scores’ or ‘Schedule’ tab usually. Found the date of the game. Okay, Cleveland Cavaliers… Chicago Bulls… there it is. Clicked on that specific game.
Finally, the Numbers
Getting the Box Score
That finally brought up the proper box score page. Took a few clicks, more than it feels like it should. But there it was. The layout everyone recognizes:
- Team names at the top.
- Player lists for both teams, starters first, then the bench guys.
- Columns running across: Minutes Played (MIN), Field Goals Made-Attempted (FGM-A), 3-Pointers (3PM-A), Free Throws (FTM-A), Rebounds (REB), Assists (AST), Steals (STL), Blocks (BLK), Turnovers (TO), Points (PTS). All the usual stuff.
So I just scrolled down that list. Checked out what Mitchell did for the Cavs, looked over LaVine’s and DeRozan’s lines for the Bulls. Saw who played heavy minutes, who barely got off the bench. It’s all laid out pretty clearly once you get to the right page. Took me maybe 5-10 minutes, not because it’s complicated, but just because you have to click through the site’s fluff to get to the actual data sometimes. But yeah, got the numbers I was after. Simple as that, just needed a little patience wading through the menus.
