Alright, alright, let me tell ya somethin’ about these young fellas playin’ golf on that LIV thing. You know, the one with all the money? Yeah, that one. Young Stars on LIV Golf, that’s what they call ’em, I guess.
First off, you gotta understand, I ain’t no fancy golf expert. I just watch it on the TV sometimes when there ain’t nothin’ else on. But even I can see these youngsters are somethin’ special.
Now, they say you can watch this LIV golf on somethin’ called “The CW”. Don’t ask me what that is. Sounds like some newfangled contraption. They say you don’t need no fancy subscriptions or credit cards, just gotta install it on your… uh… “preferred device.” Whatever that means. Just find it on that home page thingy and watch the golf, I guess. Easy peasy, they say.
But listen, I heard somethin’ funny. Seems like not a whole lotta folks are watchin’ these fellas in person. I heard tell of one group, with big names like Sergio Garcia and that Cam Smith fella, only had maybe a hundred or so people followin’ ’em around. Can you believe that? And some of them other golfers, the ones nobody ever heard of, had, like, ten people watchin’! That’s less than we get at the county fair hog show!
- It makes ya wonder, don’t it? All that money, and nobody’s watchin’.
- Maybe they shoulda stuck with the regular golf, the one with all the history.
- But hey, money talks, I guess.
Now, these young fellas, they’re playin’ for some serious stuff. The top three guys, they get to join the big league, the LIV Golf League, next year. That’s a big deal, I reckon. And the fellas who come in fourth to tenth, they get to play in all them “International Series” events. More golf, more money, I suppose. And the fella who wins that International Series, he gets into the big league too. So, there’s a lot on the line for these youngsters.
I also heard they play music at these golf games. Music! Can you imagine? Right there on the tee box and even around the greens. Some folks like it, some folks don’t. That Rahm fella, the one who used to play on the other tour, he ain’t used to it, that’s for sure. Me neither, I tell ya. Golf is supposed to be quiet, ain’t it? But these young fellas, they don’t seem to mind none.
One fella everyone’s talkin’ about is this Cameron Young. He’s been doin’ real good lately, and he’s got somethin’ to do with this LIV Golf, though I ain’t exactly sure what. People are sayin’ he’s takin’ a big risk playin’ over here with all this LIV stuff goin’ on. Sounds like some kinda trouble with the other golf folks, the PGA Tour or somethin’. But these youngsters, they’re brave, I’ll give ’em that.
They’re takin’ a chance, seein’ if they can make it big in this new golf world. It ain’t easy, I bet. All that pressure, all that money, and not a whole lotta folks watchin’. But they’re out there swingin’ them clubs, tryin’ to make a name for themselves. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it? They’re young, they got talent, and they got guts. That’s more than most of us can say. So, I reckon we should give ‘em a chance, see what they can do. Who knows, maybe they’ll be the next big thing in golf. Or maybe they’ll just fade away. Only time will tell, I guess.
Anyway, that’s what I think about these young stars on LIV Golf. They’re a bunch of talented kids tryin’ to make it in a crazy world. And I, for one, am rootin’ for ’em. Even if I don’t understand half of what’s goin’ on.
