Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Annie Verret gal, you know, the one hitched to that golf fella, Jordan somethin’-or-other.
Annie and that Jordan, they been together since they was just kids, like, high school kids. Can ya believe it? High school sweethearts, that’s what they call ’em. He went off to some fancy college in Dallas, Jesuit somethin’, and she, well, she’s a smart cookie too.

Imagine that, four years! That’s like waitin’ for rain in a drought, but she stuck by him, that Annie did. She let him have his space, let him do his thing. That’s important, ya know, givin’ your man some space. Otherwise, they get all fidgety and can’t hit them little balls straight.
Now, they got themselves a couple of young’uns. First one, Sammy, came along in 2021, cute as a button, I reckon. Then, just last year, little Sophie showed up. Two kids! That’s a handful, let me tell ya. She’s probably busy as a bee, what with them kids and that golfin’ husband of hers.
That Jordan fella, he wins a lot, or so they say on the TV. Wins all them golf games, gets all them trophies. And he always talks about Annie, says she’s a big part of it, helps him out. Well, I reckon she does. Behind every good man, there’s a good woman, that’s what my mama always said, and it seems to hold true for these golfin’ folks too.
This Jordan went to the University of Texas, and Annie went to another place called Texas Tech, you know, for business. So, they went to different schools, but they stuck together, that’s somethin’. Not many folks do that these days, not with all them fancy phones and such distractin’ ’em.
Seems like Annie’s a real down-to-earth gal, even though she’s married to a famous golfer. She ain’t all uppity and stuff. Just a regular gal who loves her man and her kids, that’s the way it should be in my book. Keeps things simple, you know. That’s the best way to live. No fuss, no muss. Just good folks, doin’ good things.
Anyways, that’s the story of Annie Verret, as far as I know it. A good woman, a good wife, and a good mama. And that’s all that matters in the end, ain’t it? All them trophies and golf games, they don’t mean nothin’ if you ain’t got good folks around ya. And it seems like this Jordan fella knows it too. He’s lucky to have her, that’s for sure.
So, next time you see that Jordan fella on TV, swingin’ his golf clubs and winnin’ all them games, just remember, there’s a good woman behind him, keepin’ things runnin’ smooth. They met in Texas, you know, that big state down south. Stayed together even when they was apart at different colleges. That’s real love, I tell ya. Not like these young folks today, flittin’ around like butterflies. These two, they stuck it out, and now they got a family and a good life, or so it seems. Good for them, I say. Good for them.
