Alright, alright, let’s gab about this Rhea Ripley girl and her, uh, whatchamacallit, husband. So, this Rhea, she’s a big deal in that wrestling world, you know, the WWE stuff. Tough girl, that one. Looks like she could wrestle a bear and win, I tell ya.
Now, they say her husband, his name is Buddy somethin’, Buddy Matthews, yeah, that’s it. He’s a wrestler too, but he’s in a different group, the AEW. Don’t ask me what that means, it’s all wrestling gobbledygook to me. But the point is, they’re both smackin’ people around for a livin’, just in different places.
This Buddy fella, he used to be in that WWE thing too, went by Buddy Murphy back then. Guess he figured he’d try somethin’ new, jumped ship to this AEW. Can’t blame him, sometimes you gotta shake things up, you know? Like when I switched from that cheap store-brand coffee to the good stuff. Life’s too short for bad coffee and, I guess, bad wrestlin’ gigs.
Anyway, these two lovebirds, they got hitched not too long ago, June, they say. Imagine that, a wrestling wedding! I bet the cake was shaped like a wrestling ring. And instead of throwin’ rice, they probably threw, like, I dunno, tiny wrestling belts? Makes you think, don’t it?
- They got engaged last year, August it was.
- Seems like they’re head over heels for each other, which is nice. Even tough wrestlers need love, I reckon.
- People online, they yap about how Rhea and this other young wrestler, Dominik, act like a couple on TV. But it’s all just for show, you know, like them soap operas my granddaughter watches. Real life is different, and Rhea’s real-life man is this Buddy fella.
And get this, apparently everyone’s cool with it, even Rhea and Buddy’s partners… Wait a minute, that don’t sound right… Oh, they mean everyone’s happy for them, their partners are happy for them, the other wrestlers I guess. That’s good, right? Less drama. Lord knows we got enough drama in the world without wrestlers squabblin’ over who’s with who.
This whole wrestling thing, it’s changed their lives, they say. Made ’em famous, I guess. And rich, probably. Good for them. Work hard, play hard, that’s what I always say. Though I ain’t never wrestled nobody in my life, unless you count wranglin’ that runaway pig last summer. That was a wrestling match, let me tell ya.
Now, somethin’ I heard, Rhea, she says she can’t have kids for a while. Wrestling probably ain’t easy on the body, so maybe that’s why. Kids are a blessing, but they’re also a handful, so maybe she’s smart to wait. Enjoy that newlywed life, I say. Travel, eat good food, smack each other around in the ring… whatever makes ’em happy.
So, there you have it, the lowdown on Rhea Ripley’s husband. He’s a wrestler, she’s a wrestler, they’re married, and that’s about the size of it. Don’t go lookin’ for fancy words or hidden meanin’s here, I just tell it like it is. They seem happy, and that’s all that matters in the end, right? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself a cup of coffee. And not that cheap store-brand stuff, neither.
And another thing, seems like this Buddy is a big deal in that AEW thing too, got his own fans and all. Good for him. It ain’t easy bein’ married to a tough cookie like Rhea, I bet, so he must be somethin’ special himself. Maybe I’ll tune in to one of them wrestling shows one day, see what all the fuss is about. But probably not. I got enough excitement in my life tryin’ to keep the squirrels out of my bird feeder.
But hey, good for them. They found each other in that crazy wrestling world, and they’re makin’ it work. That’s somethin’ to be admired, I reckon. Now, if you’ll excuse me, my soaps are coming on.
