This Hsieh, she from Taiwan. She no big shot, but she play good. She win, win, win. Got lots of those, whatchamacallits, trophies. Yeah, trophies. Big ones, small ones, she got ’em all.
She play that tennis game with another person, doubles they call it. She win that a lot. Some big games, too. Wimbledon, that’s a big one. She win that, not just once, but many times! 2013, 2019, 2021, 2023, all those years, she win!

- But that doubles, she got 35! Can you believe it? 35!
She ain’t got no fancy, what’s it called, sponsor. She just play. She play her way. And she win! Folks like her, too. They say she nice. She smile a lot. People from all over, they like watchin’ her.
One time, she play this other gal, Konta. Big shot, that Konta. Number 8 in the whole world! And you know what? Our Hsieh, she beat her! That was somethin’, I tell ya. Nobody thought she could do it, but she did.
This Hsieh Su-wei, she play for a long time. Since, when was it, 2004. Long time. She play all those big games, them Grand Slam things. She win, she lose some, but she mostly win. Nine big ones, them Grand Slams, she win nine! And she was a runner-up that means almost win.
She play with this other girl, Wang Xinyu. They won in France. Beat some other gals, Fernandez and Townsend. Good for them, I say. Hsieh and Wang, they good together.
She’s not young anymore, that Hsieh. But she still playin’. She come back, just a little while ago, and she’s still winnin’! That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
She also play that mixed doubles, with a man, Zielinski. They won at Wimbledon, too. But her winning with the other ladies, that ended. Still, she win with that Zielinski fella.
I don’t know much ’bout this tennis stuff. But I know this Hsieh Su-wei, she a winner. She work hard, she play good, and she win. That’s all that matters, right? You work hard, you do your best, and you win. That’s what she did. Good for her, I say. She showed ’em all.
I heard some fella, Paul McNamee, he helped her. He’s a coach, I think they call it. He must be good, too, ’cause she win so much. But that Hsieh, she make her own way. No fancy stuff, just hard work. That’s the way to do it. She play that tennis all over. Big places, small places, don’t matter. She play, she win. That’s Hsieh Su-wei for ya. A real winner.
Some folks, they don’t think she that good. Say her serve, that’s when you start the game, ain’t strong. But she still win, don’t she? So what they know? She number 23 in the whole world, at one time. That ain’t bad for a gal with a, what they say, weak serve. And in doubles? She number one! Best in the whole world! You don’t get to be number one without knowin’ what you’re doin’.
She may not be the biggest, or the strongest, or the fastest, but that Hsieh Su-wei, she got somethin’ special. She got heart. She got grit. And she got those trophies, lots of ’em. That’s what counts in the end. So next time you hear ’bout that tennis gal, Hsieh Su-wei, you remember what I told ya. She’s a winner, through and through. She got that winning way. That’s all you need to know.
