Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this basketball player named LiAngelo Ball, right? This guy’s got quite the story, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. So, first off, I dug into his background a bit.

Born in ’98 in Anaheim, this dude’s part of the Ball family – you know, with Lonzo and LaMelo? I started watching some of his high school highlights from Chino Hills. Man, these brothers were killing it, even won a state championship. Pretty impressive stuff.
Then, I followed his journey to Lithuania. Yeah, he and LaMelo went overseas to play for Prienai in 2017-18. I watched a few of those games too – a totally different style of basketball, but you could see LiAngelo holding his own.
- Checked out his stints in the NBA, well, sort of.
- He got into training camps with the Hornets and Pistons, but never actually played in a regular-season game.
- Kinda bummed me out, ’cause I wanted to see him go at it in the big leagues.
So, I tracked his G League time. Played 19 games for the Greensboro Swarm, the Hornets’ affiliate, across a couple of seasons. He showed some flashes, but it seemed like he couldn’t quite break through.
Latest Chapter: Mexico
Most recently, I found out he headed to Mexico in 2023-24 to play for Astros de Jalisco. I was curious, so I tried to get my eyes on some of his games with the Astros. But it’s not that easy. Anyways, I’m thinking this is where he is now.
Honestly, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster following LiAngelo’s career. He’s had his ups and downs, but I gotta give him props for keeping at it. I’m still rooting for the guy, hoping he finds his groove and maybe even gets another shot at the NBA someday. You never know, right?
