Okay, so I was digging into this whole Bronny James NIL deal thing today, and man, it’s wild how much money these college athletes can make now. It all started when I stumbled upon some info about how much Bronny’s deals are worth. I mean, we’re talking millions here!
First thing I did was check out who he’s signed with. Turns out, the biggest one is with Nike. Makes sense, right? His dad’s LeBron, so it’s kind of a family tradition with Nike. I looked up when that deal happened. I remember when that news first broke, it was all over the sports channels.
Then I saw he’s also got a deal with Beats by Dre. Again, not surprising. Beats is huge with athletes, and their headphones are everywhere. I even found some old videos of Bronny rocking Beats headphones during warmups. I watched those videos to see how he was using them and what style they were.
- Checked out the Nike deal – it’s the big one.
- Found out about the Beats by Dre endorsement – makes sense, he’s always got headphones on.
- Noticed a deal with something called PSD underwear. Never heard of them before, but hey, good for him.
After that, I got curious about the actual dollar amounts. That’s when I found this site called On3 that tracks NIL valuations. They estimated Bronny’s NIL deals are worth around $5.9 million. $5.9 million! I had to read that number like five times to make sure I was seeing it right. I double-checked and triple-checked that figure on a few different websites to make sure it wasn’t some kind of typo. Nope, it’s legit.
So then I tried to find out how much of that $5.9 million was from each deal. That was harder to track down. I spent a good chunk of time trying to find specific numbers for the Nike and Beats deals but came up empty. Seems like those details are kept pretty hush-hush. I guess that’s understandable, it’s probably confidential information. I figured I must just not have good enough search skills to find it.
Finally, I wanted to see if there were any other deals he had that weren’t as publicized. I searched using all sorts of combinations of keywords. You know, “Bronny James endorsements,” “Bronny James sponsorships,” stuff like that. I did find mention of that PSD underwear deal, but nothing else major popped up. I guess those three are the big ones for now. He is probably in deals with other brands, I just couldn’t find it. But hey, $5.9 million from three deals? That’s nuts.
The whole thing was a pretty interesting deep dive. I went from just wondering about Bronny’s endorsements to having a way better understanding of how this whole NIL thing works. It’s a whole new world for college sports, that’s for sure.
