Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole Mets vs. Padres thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I mean, I’m just a regular guy who loves baseball, and keeping track of all these stats? Man, it’s a lot. But I’m doing it, and I wanted to share my little adventure with you all.

First off, I started by trying to find some basic info on how these two teams have done against each other. You know, just a simple win-loss record. That seemed easy enough, right? Well, it wasn’t as straightforward as I thought.
I dove into the internet, sifting through tons of websites. And guess what? I found some different numbers! Some sites were saying the Padres had 264 wins and 260 losses against the Mets. But then I found another that said it was 262 wins and 259 losses. Another one say the Mets had 259 wins and 262 losses against the Padres. Can you believe it? I was like, “What’s going on here?”
I decided I needed to organize this mess. So, I grabbed my trusty notebook and started jotting down every bit of information I could find. I made a list:
- Wins for Padres: 264 or 262?
- Losses for Padres: 260 or 259?
- Wins for Mets: 259?
- Losses for Mets: 262?
Seeing it all laid out like that, I felt a little better. But I still needed more. I wanted to see how individual players were doing. This is where it got even trickier.
I started looking up recent games. I saw that in one game, a rookie named Jackson Merrill hit a home run in the ninth inning, and the Padres won 3-2! That was exciting. This guy, Merrill, he’s someone to watch, I’m telling you.
But then I was trying to compare players from different games, and it was tough. Some sites had detailed stats for one game but not another. It was like putting together a puzzle with missing pieces.
The Struggle is Real
After hours of searching and comparing, I finally managed to compile some decent data on a few key players. It wasn’t perfect, but it was something. I learned a lot about how tough it is to get accurate and consistent sports stats. I mean, you’d think this stuff would be readily available, but it’s not always the case.
Anyway, I’m still working on this. It’s a work in progress. But I wanted to share my journey so far. It’s been frustrating at times, but also kind of fun, in a weird way. I feel like a real detective, uncovering all these hidden stats. And you know what? I’m not giving up. I’m going to keep digging and see what else I can find. So stay tuned, folks, there’s more to come!

I will keep going, that’s a tough work.
