Okay, so I’ve been trying to keep up with the Oregon Ducks football team, and honestly, finding a reliable depth chart is a pain. So I decided to make my own, and here’s how I went about it.

First, I hit up the official Oregon Ducks website. I figured, who better to get the info from, right? I poked around the football section, looking for anything that said “depth chart” or “roster.” Sometimes they hide it in the media guides or game notes sections, so I made sure to check those too.
Next up, I checked out some of the major sports websites. They usually have their own versions of depth charts, and sometimes they offer some analysis, which is helpful. I went through those, looking for any differences or updates that might have changed recently.
Then, because I’m a bit of a super-fan, I dove into some Oregon Ducks fan forums and blogs. You know, the places where people are really into the team. Sometimes you can find some insider info or educated guesses there, especially about injured players or who might be moving up or down the chart.
After I gathered all that info, I started putting together my own spreadsheet. I listed out all the positions, like Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver, etc. Then, I started filling in the names based on what I found. If there were any conflicts, I usually went with the official site first, then used the other sources to help me figure out the backups and so on.
It is a continued task that keeps me informed.
