Okay, so today I decided to mess around with “TE Rankings.” I’d heard about it a bit, and thought, “Why not?” I’m always up for trying something new, especially when it comes to, you know, organizing stuff and seeing what’s what.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to actually figure out what I was even ranking. Tight Ends, right? But for what? Fantasy football? Real-life awesomeness? I went with a general “overall impact” vibe. You know, how much does this player change the game when they’re on the field.
I started by just listing out a bunch of names. You know, the big ones everyone talks about, like Kelce and Kittle. Then I thought about some up-and-comers, guys who have been showing flashes of brilliance. I wrote all these names down on a piece of paper, because I love useing my * School!
The Messy Middle
This is where things got tricky. It’s easy to say who’s at the very top and the very bottom, but that middle ground? A total mess. I mean, how do you really compare a guy who’s a great blocker but doesn’t catch a ton of passes, to a guy who’s a receiving machine but can’t block a toddler?
I started looking at stats. You know, receptions, yards, touchdowns. But that only tells part of the story. So I watched some game highlights. Trying to get a feel for their, like, presence on the field. Did defenses have to game-plan around them? Did they make impossible catches look routine?
I have made many version about TE Rankings, but those always hard to say I agree with myself.
Making Some Decisions (and Doubting Myself)
After a couple of hours of this, I started to actually, you know, rank them. I moved names up and down my list. Erased a bunch of stuff. Started over a couple of times. It felt like I was wrestling with a giant, slippery fish.
I ended up with something that looked like this:
- Tier 1: The Gods. Kelce, Kittle, maybe Andrews if he’s having a good year.
- Tier 2: The Really, Really Goods. Guys who could be Tier 1 with a bit more consistency.
- Tier 3: The Solid Starters. You’re happy to have them on your team, but they’re not winning you any championships on their own.
- Tier 4: The “Who Knows?” Tier. Guys with potential, guys with injury histories, guys who might be amazing or might disappear.
- Tier 5: The “Well, Someone Has to Be Last” Tier.
The Finished (for Now) Product
Honestly, I’m still not 100% sure about my list. I’ll probably change it tomorrow. But that’s kind of the fun of it, right? It’s all subjective. It’s all about having an opinion and being willing to argue about it.I even don’t want to share my list * I think I need a new one.

So, that was my adventure in TE rankings. It was messy, it was frustrating, and it was kind of fun. Maybe I’ll try ranking quarterbacks next. Or maybe I’ll just go watch some football.
