Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this Arch Manning fella and where he might end up playin’ ball. You know, college football. That pigskin game the young’uns are so crazy about.
So, this Bo Nix fella over at Oregon, he’s done with college after this year. Goin’ off to the NFL, good for him. But that leaves Oregon lookin’ for a new quarterback, see? Now, some folks are sayin’ Arch Manning might be thinkin’ about movin’ on too. Transferring, they call it.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I hear things. People talk, you know? And they’re sayin’ Arch Manning might wanna go somewhere different. Maybe he ain’t gettin’ enough playin’ time where he is, or maybe he just wants a change of scenery. Heck, I moved three times in my life, so I get it.
- First place, the well water tasted like rust.
- Second place, the roof leaked like a sieve.
- Third place, well, that’s where I am now, and the neighbor’s dog barks all night.
Anyways, back to this Arch fella. One place they’re talkin’ about is Ole Miss. That’s down south, you know? Hot as blazes in the summer. But see, Arch’s family, they got history there. His grandpa, his uncle, they all played ball at Ole Miss. So, it’d be like goin’ home, sort of. A family legacy, they call it. Sounds fancy, huh?
Now, Ole Miss, they ain’t the only ones wantin’ Arch, that’s for sure. This boy’s got talent, they say. Throws the ball real good, like a rocket. So, other big schools are lookin’ at him too. I heard some names thrown around…Ohio State, that’s up north, I think. Alabama, down south again, with that coach, what’s his name? Saban? Yeah, him. He wins a lot, that fella.
And then there’s Miami. That’s down in Florida, where it’s always sunny and the beaches are pretty. I hear they got good fishin’ down there too. But I don’t know if Arch is much of a fisherman. He’s probably too busy throwin’ that football.
Georgia is another one people are talkin’ about. They’re always good, them Bulldogs. Tough as nails, that’s what they say. But gettin’ playing time there, that ain’t gonna be easy, no sir.
Some folks are even jokin’ around, sayin’ Arch should go play for that coach, Belichick. You know, the one with the Patriots? He ain’t in college no more, but they’re just jokin’, I guess. Sayin’ maybe Belichick is tryin’ to sweet-talk Arch into transferrin’ by hangin’ out with his family on TV. Can you imagine? That Belichick fella, always lookin’ like he just ate a sour pickle.
So, where will Arch end up? Well, your guess is as good as mine, honey. It’s a big decision for a young man. He’s gotta think about where he’ll be happy, where he’ll get a good education, and where he can play some good football. And maybe he should consider if the well water tastes alright, and if the roof leaks, too, you know what I mean?
But whatever he decides, I hope he does well. He seems like a nice young man, and he’s got a good head on his shoulders, or so they say. I’ll be watchin’ him on that TV, seein’ where he ends up. Just gotta remember to adjust them rabbit ears so I get a clear picture. Them young fellas sure do run fast these days, it’s hard to keep up.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now, where did I put my glasses? I need to find that crossword puzzle…
