This here’s about that Azeez Al-Shaair fella, the football player. He’s a tough one, that’s for sure. He plays for the Houston Texans, you know.
He weren’t picked by nobody at first, poor thing. Back in 2019, May 3rd it was, the San Francisco 49ers, they gave him a chance. Just signed him right up, even though nobody else wanted him. That’s how it goes sometimes, ain’t it? Gotta start somewhere.
Then, he went to them Titans. That was in 2023, March 20th. He signed with them, big fancy free agent or whatever they call it. Must be somethin’ special if they call it that. Then, just this year, March 15th, he went on over to the Texans. Keeps movin’ around, that one.
Now, this Azeez Al-Shaair, he got himself into some trouble, I hear. Something about a late hit on that Trevor Lawrence fella, the quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Folks weren’t too happy about that, no sir. Got a whole heap of backlash, they say. That means people were mad, real mad. Even that Richard Sherman, he had something to say about it. Must’ve been a bad hit. This was the Houston Texans getting into it. That hit, well, it wasn’t right, I reckon.

- Now he’s with the Houston Texans.
And now, the big shots, the NFL, they stepped in. You can’t just be hitting folks like that, they say. They gave him a three-game suspension. That means he can’t play for three whole games! Must be tough for the Texans. They gotta find someone else to play his spot. They call him a linebacker, whatever that means. He’s important, I guess. That’s a big deal, getting suspended. They called it unsportsmanlike. Means he weren’t playin’ fair. They also mentioned someone named Sir Trevor Lawrence. Must be someone important in the National Football League.
They say the Texans are having a hard time now that this Azeez Al-Shaair can’t play. They’re trying to figure things out. It’s like when you lose your best laying hen, gotta find another one to take her place. It ain’t easy. They called it a controversial concussion. Sounds painful. This happened in Houston, or some place called Miami County. I ain’t never been there.
They gave him a big contract, you know. A three-year deal, they said. Worth 34 million dollars! Can you believe that? 34 million! That’s more money than I’ve ever seen in my whole life. Enough to buy all the chickens in the county, I reckon. They must really like him to pay him that much. It happened last offseason. That’s when they do all their business, I guess.
So, this Azeez Al-Shaair, he’s a good player, but he made a mistake. It’s a good reminder that even when you got all the talent in the world, you gotta play fair. They call him a linebacker. You think that’s important, don’t you? It’s a tough game. He is one of the Houston Texans players now.
He sure is makin’ a name for himself, this Azeez. Hope he learns his lesson from all this. Gotta keep your head on straight, even when things get tough. That’s what I always say. It is a rough game, and they pay well, so he’s got to be good. I bet they miss him on the field when he got to sit out. Three games is a long time in football, I imagine.
I heard some folks saying he shoulda known better. But you know, everyone makes mistakes. That’s a fact. Important thing is, he gets back out there and plays good and fair. That’s what people want to see. And hopefully he can stay out of trouble. Them NFL folks don’t mess around. They say he did wrong, he did wrong. But you can’t be doing that. It is just a game after all.
Well, that’s all I know about this Azeez Al-Shaair fella. He’s a football player, makes a lot of money, and got himself into a bit of a pickle. Hope he does alright. Hope he knows now that kind of playing won’t fly.
Guess we’ll see what happens next. They always got more games to play. That’s what they do, play football, and the Houston Texans is where he’s at now. I bet the team is figuring out how to make do. They will find someone else to do his job for those three games. They always do, don’t they? Yes, they do.
