Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at League, right? And everyone always says, “Keep up with the patches!” So, I decided to actually do it this time. Usually, I just skim the notes and hope for the best, but not this time. I’m going all in on the “lol patch”.

First, I dug around for some info on the current patch, you know, to get a feel for what’s up. I found something mentioning a few champions that are supposedly really good right now, at least for people who aren’t super high-ranked. They’re saying Irelia, Master Yi, Akshan, Jinx, and Lulu are the ones to play.
My Experiment Begins
So, I’m like, “Alright, let’s see if this is true.” I usually main support, so I figured I’d try Lulu first. I jumped into a normal game, locked her in, and… well, it wasn’t a total disaster.
- I managed to keep my ADC alive most of the time, which is always a plus.
- Her poke felt pretty strong.
- I even got a couple of kills with her glitterlance thingy, which felt awesome.
Then, I tried out Jinx. I’m not the best ADC, but I can usually hold my own. And yeah, she felt really strong. Her rockets were hitting like a truck, and I managed to snowball pretty hard in lane. We ended up winning that game pretty easily, I must have done something right!
Next up, Master Yi. Oh boy. I’m terrible at jungle. Like, really bad. I always get lost, I get invaded, and I end up feeding the enemy team. But, for science, I gave it a shot. And… yep, it was a mess. I died to the raptors like three times, and the enemy jungler was just having a field day in my jungle. We lost that one hard.
Irelia, Akshan, and More
I decided to switch gears and try Irelia. Top lane is a bit more my speed than jungle. I had some good trades, landed some nice stuns, and even managed to get a solo kill! I can see why people say she’s strong in this patch. I’m going to keep practicing her for sure.
Finally, I tried out Akshan. I’ve never played him before, so it was a bit of a learning curve. I spent the first few minutes just trying to figure out his abilities. He seems really mobile and has some cool tricks, like his grappling hook. I didn’t do amazing, but I definitely see the potential.
So, after all that, what did I learn? Well, those patch notes weren’t lying. At least for my skill level, those champions do feel pretty strong right now. I’m definitely going to keep playing Irelia and Jinx, and maybe I’ll even give Akshan another shot. Master Yi? Yeah, I’m going to stick to support for now…
I think i will spend more time to practice these champions.
