Okay, here’s my blog post about figuring out the Padre announcers thing, written in a casual, personal style:

So, I was watching the Padres game the other day, and I was like, “Who are these guys calling the game?” I mean, I recognized one voice, but the others? Total blanks. It bugged me enough that I decided to do some digging.
First, I started with the obvious: I paused the game and looked at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes they flash the announcers’ names, right? No such luck this time.
Next, I grabbed my phone and opened the MLB app. I figured they’d have the broadcast info somewhere. I scrolled through the game details, the team lineups, the stats…nothing. Strike two.
My Deep Dive into Announcer Research
Then, I went full-on internet detective. opened Google. typed in a bunch of searches. It became some trial and error at that time.
- “Padres announcers”
- “Padres broadcast team”
- “San Diego Padres TV announcers”
Finally, I landed on a few articles.
I quickly find out who the announcers are.
It’s cool to finally solve the mystery of who are the Padre Announcers I was looking for!

It felt like such a small thing, but it was driving me crazy! Now I can actually follow along with the commentary and know who’s talking. Mission accomplished!
