So, I was thinking about Jon Jones the other day. You know, the UFC guy. Dominant fighter, lots of headlines, good and bad. But then it hit me, I kept hearing mentions of his brothers, like during fight commentary or sports shows.
Digging into the Jones Family
It got me curious. How many brothers are there? What do they do? I figured I’d spend a bit of time looking into it, just piece together the story for myself.
First thing I did was just a quick search, you know, “Jon Jones brothers”. Right away, names popped up. Arthur Jones and Chandler Jones. Okay, so two brothers.
Then I started looking into Arthur. Turns out, he was the older one. Played football. Defensive tackle, I think? Yeah, defensive tackle. And not just played, but played in the NFL for a good while. I saw he was on teams like the Ravens and the Colts. Even got a Super Bowl ring with the Ravens. That’s pretty impressive right there. A Super Bowl champ in the family.
Next up, Chandler. The younger brother. And guess what? Another NFL player! Also a defensive guy, mostly defensive end or outside linebacker, I read. This dude was a serious pass rusher. Played for the Patriots first, got a ring with them too! Then he went to the Cardinals and later the Raiders. Racked up a ton of sacks in his career. Another really successful pro athlete.
Putting it Together
So, let’s get this straight:
- Arthur Jones: Oldest brother. NFL Defensive Tackle. Super Bowl winner.
- Jon Jones: Middle brother. UFC Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight Champion. One of the best MMA fighters ever, despite controversies.
- Chandler Jones: Youngest brother. NFL Defensive End/Outside Linebacker. Super Bowl winner. Sack machine.
Man, that’s just wild. Three brothers, all reaching the absolute top level in professional sports, two in the NFL and one in the UFC. You gotta wonder about the genetics there, or maybe the upbringing. Must have been a competitive household!
It’s pretty crazy to think about. One family producing that much athletic talent across different, really tough sports. Definitely makes you see Jon Jones in a slightly different context, knowing he comes from this family of elite athletes. Just something I found interesting while poking around.
