Okay, so, Black Myth: Wukong on PS5, right? Been messing around with it and figured I’d dump my thoughts and what I’ve been up to. No fancy stuff, just how it went down.

First off, getting the game. I actually pre-ordered it way back when it was announced. Totally forgot about it until I got the email saying it was ready to download. That was a good day.
The download was pretty massive. Took a good chunk of the afternoon. While it was downloading, I re-watched some of the trailers just to get hyped up again. Man, those trailers are something else.
Alright, finally booted it up. The visuals? Seriously, they’re insane. The details on Wukong’s fur, the environments… it’s all just stunning. I spent a solid ten minutes just wandering around the starting area, gawking at everything. Then the combat, smooth as butter. At least until I started getting my butt kicked.
Combat’s tough, no joke. It’s not just button mashing. You gotta learn the enemy patterns, parry at the right time, use your different stances… I died a lot. Like, a lot. Spent a good hour or two just trying to get past the first real boss. Finally figured out its weakness (surprise, surprise, it involves hitting it when it’s least expecting it) and managed to scrape by.
Then I was fiddling around with the settings a bit. I tweaked the graphics settings for my monitor. Also, spent some time remapping the controls. Found a setup that felt more natural for my clumsy fingers. This helped a lot. Also messed with the audio.
Exploration is a blast. The world feels alive. Found a few hidden areas already, with some cool items and lore tidbits. Still trying to piece together the whole story, but it’s definitely intriguing.
I’ve upgraded some abilities and messed around with different weapons. Gotta say, that staff is a beast when you get the hang of it. The different forms are also fun. Turning into a giant ape and smashing everything? Yes, please.
Glitches? Yeah, ran into a couple. Nothing game-breaking, just some minor visual stuff. Hopefully, they’ll patch those out soon.

Overall, I’m having a blast with Black Myth: Wukong on PS5. It’s challenging, gorgeous, and just plain fun. Still got a long way to go, but I’m hooked. If you’re on the fence about getting it, I’d say go for it. Just be prepared to die a lot.
