So, today I wanted to talk about someone who’s been making waves in the world of professional wrestling – Kanako Urai, better known as Asuka. I’ve been following her career for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s been quite a journey.
It all started back in 2015. I remember hearing whispers about this incredible wrestler from Japan who was going to sign with WWE. I went and dug around a bit and found out her name was Kanako Urai. They were calling her Asuka, and the hype was real. I was curious, so I started checking out some of her older matches before she hit the big time in the US. Man, she was something else. Her moves were so crisp, and she had this intensity that just drew you in. I became an instant fan, no doubt about it.
Her NXT Days Were Amazing
- I tracked her progress in NXT religiously.
- Every match, she was just dominant.
- She had this crazy undefeated streak that kept going and going.
I watched every single match, and I remember seeing people on some forums saying that they couldn’t recall an NXT woman who has been as dominant and as strong as Asuka. Even the name Asuka, some people started digging it and said it had something to do with a Serbian name, or Lioness Asuka. I mean, who knows? But it sounded cool, and it fit her perfectly. She tore through the competition. I was glued to the screen, week after week, watching her rack up win after win.
Then came the main roster. She moved up to the big leagues, and honestly, I was a bit nervous. Would she be able to keep up the momentum? Would they use her right? But she proved me wrong, she kept that intensity, that fire that made her so special. There were some amazing matches, and some heartbreaks, too. I recall she lost to Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania 34, that was a tough one to watch.
But through it all, she’s kept going. She’s held multiple championships and has put on some of the best matches I’ve ever seen. She’s not just a great wrestler, she’s an inspiration. She came all the way from Japan, conquered the wrestling world, and did it all with this unique style and charisma. I even saw somewhere online that some folks were comparing her undefeated streak to Goldberg’s, and that’s saying something. Even Goldberg himself gave her props. How cool is that?
I’ve been following her on social media, too. She seems like a genuinely cool person, and she’s got a huge following of dedicated fans, including me. I remember stumbling across some online communities that were all about her, sharing clips, and fan art, and just generally celebrating her awesomeness. It is nice to see so many people appreciate her talent.
I remember once I saw a comment online “We all know that Kanako Urai is a Japanese wrestler currently signed to WWE”. It got me thinking, yeah, we all know her now, but it wasn’t always like that. She had to work hard to get where she is today, and I truly respect that.
So yeah, that’s my little journey following Kanako Urai, or Asuka, or whatever you want to call her. She’s a legend in my book, and I can’t wait to see what she does next. If you haven’t seen her wrestle, you’re missing out. Go check out some of her matches, you won’t regret it.
