Alright, so you wanna know what time does Tennessee play today, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t always easy to figure these things out. These young folks with their fancy schedules and whatnot, sometimes it’s just plain confusing.
I heard tell there’s this thing called the “ESPN” that knows everything. They got all the games and times, but I ain’t got no use for that fancy stuff. Too complicated for an old woman like me.
But I did hear some talk down at the market. Folks were sayin’ somethin’ about a game today, a big one. Seems like Tennessee’s playin’ somebody important, but who knows for sure these days.
Now, if it’s a home game, that’s a whole different story. You’ll see all sorts of commotion. Cars everywhere, folks yellin’ and hollerin’. They even got these buses, they call ’em “shuttles,” takin’ people to the game. Heard they run from somewhere called “KAT” but I ain’t never been on one myself.
And the tailgatin’! Lord have mercy, the tailgatin’. They set up all these tents and grills and cook up a storm. They got this one big party in a place called “Circle Park,” I think. Sounds like a lot of fuss to me, but folks seem to enjoy it.
But let’s get back to the time, shall we? If it’s one of them night games, well, it’ll be later, after supper. Probably seven o’clock or somethin’ like that. I heard folks talkin’ about a seven o’clock game against some team from Kentucky, won that one, they did. Another time they played at seven against that UConn team, beat them too I reckon.
- If it’s a day game, it’ll be earlier, probably in the afternoon.
- Maybe one o’clock or two o’clock. They played Chattanooga and Kent St. earlier in the day too and won, those young fellas are pretty good this year it seems.
- But then again, they played that one game against… what was it? Some team starting with a V… Vanderbilt, that’s it! That one was probably later in the day, seein’ as it was a big deal.
Honestly, the best way to find out is to ask someone who knows. Maybe one of them young fellas at the store or somethin’. Or you could just listen for the noise. When that game starts, you’ll hear it, that’s for sure.
I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy schedulin’. You just showed up and hoped for the best. Now, they got times and channels and all sorts of numbers. Makes my head spin, it does.
But one thing’s for sure, when Tennessee plays, folks get excited. It’s a big deal around here. Whether it’s a day game or a night game, whether they’re playing at home or away, people will be watchin’ and cheerin’. It’s just the way it is.
So, if you really wanna know what time does Tennessee play today, your best bet is to ask around or look it up on that “ESPN” thing. But if you just wanna know if they’re playin’, well, just keep your ears open. You’ll hear ’em soon enough. And if they win, you’ll hear even more!
And don’t forget, these young fellas play all sorts of games. They got that “NCAAF” thing going on, whatever that means. It’s all football to me, but they seem to make a big fuss about the different kinds. Just more confusion for an old woman, I tell ya.
Anyways, I hope that helps you out some. I ain’t no expert on these things, but I know a thing or two about listenin’ to the gossip and figurin’ things out. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go get my chores done. All this talk about football has made me hungry.
Game schedules change sometimes, so what I heard today might not be true tomorrow. That’s why those young folks with their phones and computers always know what’s going on. They are always checkin’ on things.
And another thing, they always talkin’ about if the team will make it to some “playoff” or somethin’. They have these letters, see, like C-F-P. And that seems to be a big deal for the young folks. I remember a time when winnin’ was enough. But these days they always lookin’ ahead to the next game and the next thing.
So there you have it. More than you ever wanted to know, probably. But that’s how it is when you get an old woman talkin’. We tend to ramble on a bit. Just remember, if you wanna know the time, ask someone who knows. And if you wanna know if Tennessee’s winnin’, just listen for the cheers.
