Okay, so I’ve been meaning to put together a proper record of the Giants’ Super Bowl wins, and today I finally got around to doing it. It’s kinda scattered in my head, so this is as much for me as it is for anyone else.

First, I dug out my old notes. You know, the scribbled stuff from when I was watching the games live, plus some clippings I’d saved. Mostly, it was a mess of excitement and “OMG!” moments.
Super Bowl XXI: Giants vs. Broncos
This was the first one, back in ’87. I remember being glued to the TV. I started by looking for old game footage. Found some decent quality stuff, surprisingly. The key was to break down the plays, focusing on the big moments. Phil Simms was a machine in that game!
- Watched highlight reels.
- Jotted down key plays and player stats.
- Fought the urge to just rewatch the whole game and get sidetracked!
Super Bowl XXV: Giants vs. Bills
Then came Super Bowl XXV. This one was tense, with that missed field goal at the end. Nail-biter! I needed to find details on the “Wide Right” play. I spent a good hour just on that, reading articles and watching different angles. It’s amazing how one play can define a whole game.
- Focused on the Bills’ offensive strategies.
- Searched for interviews with players from both teams.
Super Bowl XLII: Giants vs. Patriots
Fast forward to 2008, Super Bowl XLII. Undefeated Patriots! Everyone thought they were unbeatable. I tracked down post-game interviews, especially with Eli Manning and David Tyree. The “Helmet Catch” – still gives me chills. I made sure to capture all the details about that play, the pressure, the disbelief…everything.
- The Helmet Catch. I still get goosebumps.
- Eli Manning magic.
Super Bowl XLVI: Giants vs. Patriots
And then, the rematch in Super Bowl XLVI. I re-watched this one recently, so it was fresher in my mind. I concentrated on the game’s flow, how the Giants managed to keep their cool against a team that was out for revenge.
- Another victory over the favored Patriots.
- More Eli heroics.
Finally, I compiled all my notes, organized them by game, and wrote everything up in a way that made * is still a bit * at least all information were recorded. It’s not perfect, but it’s a solid start. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Maybe I’ll add some more details later, but for now, it feels good to have it all in one place.
