Okay, so I was digging around the internet today, trying to figure something out. I’m a big football fan, always have been, and the name Jim Harbaugh has been popping up everywhere recently. It got me thinking, how old is this guy anyway? He’s been around football forever, right?
So, I started my quest. I just typed “Jim Harbaugh age” into the good old search bar. The first thing that popped up confirmed what I was looking for. Jim Harbaugh is 60 years old. Born on December 23, 1963, which means he’s got a birthday coming up pretty soon. I figured I’d write that down so I wouldn’t forget.
- Age: 60
- Birthday: December 23, 1963
- Birthplace: Toledo, Ohio
My Notes on Jim Harbaugh:
Now, I knew he had a brother who’s also a coach, John Harbaugh. I always get those two mixed up. So I did a quick search for him too. Turns out, John is the older brother, but not by much. John Harbaugh is 62, born on September 23, 1962. He’s just 15 months older, no biggie.
Then things started to get really interesting. I stumbled upon some info about their relationship. Apparently, John used to rough up Jim when they were kids. It’s kind of funny to imagine these two legendary coaches wrestling around like little boys. John even said he had the edge in growth until they were about 18 or 19. That made me chuckle.
I kept going, wanting to know more about Jim’s life. I found out he’s got quite the family. He and his wife, Sarah, have two daughters, Addison and Katherine, and two sons, Jack and John. Plus, he’s got three grown-up kids from before, Jay, James Jr., and Grace. That’s a full house!
Of course, I couldn’t stop there. I had to look into his coaching career. Man, this guy’s done it all. He recently left Michigan to go back to the NFL. But back in college, he was a star quarterback at Michigan. He even held the record for passing yards at one point – 5,449 yards! That’s some serious arm strength.
Then I found something about Bo Schembechler, Jim’s old coach at Michigan. Bo was a legend too, coaching there from 1969 to 1989. His teams were amazing, with a record of 194-48-5. I always love reading about the history of the game.
Well, that’s my little research journey for today. I just wanted to share what I found because I thought it was all pretty cool. I am very satisfied with the process and the final result.
