Okay, so I’ve been grinding like crazy to get my Hu Tao all leveled up and ready to go. It’s been a JOURNEY, let me tell you. I wanted to share my whole process, start to finish, in case anyone else is struggling or just wants to see how another player does it.

Farming the Basics
First things first, I started by figuring out exactly what I needed. You know, the usual – character ascension materials, talent books, the whole nine yards. I made myself a little checklist:
- Agnidus Agate (from Pyro Regisvine or weekly bosses)
- Juvenile Jade (from Primo Geovishap)
- Silk Flowers (found around Liyue, I remember running around like a madman)
- Whopperflower Nectar, Shimmering Nectar, Energy Nectar (from, well, Whopperflowers)
- Teachings of Diligence, Guide to Diligence, Philosophies of Diligence (from the Taishan Mansion domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays)
- Shard of a Foul Legacy (from the Childe weekly boss)
- Crown of Insight (from limited-time events, gotta be on top of those!)
- A WHOLE LOT of Mora (seriously, it’s never enough)
The Long Grind
Then came the actual farming. I spent days – DAYS, I tell you – fighting the Pyro Regisvine and Primo Geovishap. It got pretty repetitive, but I put on some music and just powered through. Sometimes I joined co-op groups to make it a little faster and more fun. The Geovishap, in particular, was a pain because of the elemental absorption, so I had to keep switching up my team.
Silk Flowers were another story. I followed some online guides to find the best spots, but even then, it was a lot of running around. I felt like I knew every nook and cranny of Liyue Harbor and Wangshu Inn after that.
Whopperflowers… oh boy. I used my Adventurer Handbook to track them down, but they always seemed to spawn in the most annoying places, like on top of cliffs or surrounded by other enemies. But hey, gotta do what you gotta do.
The Taishan Mansion domain was pretty straightforward, thankfully. Just had to remember to go on the right days! I always try to use Condensed Resin to get double the rewards, saves so much time.
And Childe… well, let’s just say I got REALLY good at dodging his attacks. That Foul Legacy shard took a while to drop, but finally, I got enough.
Finally Finished!
After all that, I finally had everything I needed! It was such a relief to see all those checkmarks on my list. I leveled Hu Tao up to 90, got her talents as high as I could, and now she’s an absolute beast. It was definitely worth the effort, though. Seeing her damage numbers go up and up is so satisfying!
So yeah, that’s my Hu Tao materials farming story. If you’re working on building her too, just keep at it! It’s a grind, but it’s so rewarding in the end.
