Well, lemme tell ya, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this game, “Chained Together.” Sounds like a real hoot, climbin’ outta that hot place down under. But these young’uns, they always got their noses stuck in them fancy machines. One of ’em asked, “Is Chained Together on Xbox?” and it got me thinkin’.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these contraptions, these Xboxes and PlayStations and whatnot. But I heard some snippets, some talk around the town, if you will. Seems like this Chained Together, it’s a game where you’re all tied up, like goats headin’ to market, and you gotta climb. Climb, climb, climb your way outta, well, you know. That place. The fiery one.
Some folks say this game, you can play it on that PC, you know, that computer thingamajig. They say it’s on somethin’ called “Steam”. Like the steam from my kettle, but I reckon it’s different. They say you can get it there. But for Xbox? Well, that’s a different story.
I heard one fella say, plain as day, “Unfortunately, there are no Xbox, PS, or mobile versions of Chained Together.” Sounds like bad news for the Xbox folks, don’t it? Like promisin’ pie and only deliverin’ crust. They’re left out in the cold, like a newborn lamb in a snowstorm.
- Cooperative Play, they call it. That is you and your friend play together.
- You can create your own private lobby. Play with people you know. That is good.
- You start in the depths of hell. Oh, that is not good.
But then, another fella, he chimed in, sayin’, “The short answer is yes, you can play Chained Together on Xbox.” Well, now ain’t that a twist? Like findin’ a twenty dollar bill in your old jeans. He said it’s on somethin’ called Xbox One. I don’t know these numbers and things, but it sounds like good news, don’t it?
So, which one is it? Can you play it on Xbox or can’t ya? It’s like askin’ if Bessie’s gonna give milk today – could go either way. Maybe that Xbox One is an older one? These young people always have new one every year.
They talk about this “multiplayer” thing too. Means you can play with your buddies, even if they’re far away. Like yellin’ across the holler, but you’re playin’ a game instead. They say there are different ways to play this “multiplayer,” and you can make your own “private lobby” to play with your friends. Sounds like a hootenanny, if you ask me.
Now, I did hear there’s a way to play somethin’ similar on somethin’ called “Fortnite” with a “Creative map.” But that ain’t the real Chained Together, I reckon. It’s like eatin’ margarine when you want butter. Just ain’t the same. But if you really really want to play on Xbox, maybe this is a good way.
Chained Together is not available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Well, that is just sad. If you don’t have a PC, you can not play it. It’s just for PC now.
And how do you play with friends? They say you gotta “launch” the game. Like launchin’ a rocket, I suppose. Then you hit the “Play” button. Then you gotta choose if you wanna play “local” or “host a lobby” or “join someone else’s lobby.” Sounds complicated, like tryin’ to teach a pig to sing. But if you get all that done, you can play with your friends. Use somethin’ called “Steam overlay” and invite them. Or you can send an invite with a “lobby password.” That is also a good way.
This game, they say it’s all about “unity” and “teamwork” and “trust.” ‘Cause you gotta work together to climb outta that fiery place. You all are chained together after all. You have to work together. Just like a good marriage. So better play with some good friends. Otherwise, you’ll be stuck down there forever, I reckon.
Seems like Chained Together is a real popular game. A “viral” game, they call it. Whatever that means. Like a cold that spreads through the whole town, I guess. But a good cold, maybe? A fun cold? Anyways, folks are talkin’ about it.
And it is about climbin’ outta hell, so it has to be hard, right? You need some “strategy” and “skill”. Like gettin’ a stubborn mule to move. You can’t just yank on it, gotta be smart about it.
Chained Together was released yesterday, skipping console versions for the moment. So you can not play it on Xbox now. Maybe one day. We don’t know. Just wait and see. But don’t hold your breath.
So, there ya have it. Can you play Chained Together on Xbox? Sounds like maybe, maybe not. Depends on who you ask, and what kind of Xbox you got. It’s as clear as mud, ain’t it? Best thing to do is probably just ask one of them young’uns. They seem to know ’bout these things. Just don’t be surprised if they give ya a different answer every time you ask. That’s how these things go, I reckon.
