Okay, so, you guys won’t believe the rabbit hole I went down today. I was scrolling through social media, saw some buzz about the Super Bowl, and of course, the Kelce brothers came up. But then I saw some people talking about a “Shawn Kelce”. I was like, “Wait, there’s another one?”
So I started digging. First, I checked out a few articles. Some of them made it sound like this Shawn was the real deal – the oldest Kelce brother, born to Donna Kelce, the whole nine yards. They were saying he’s just super private and stays out of the spotlight, unlike Travis and Jason, who are, you know, NFL superstars.
I even found out that Jason Kelce, the older brother that I knew, used to play for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a center, and get this – he played for them for 13 years! That’s some serious dedication. And it turns out he’s married to a woman named Kylie, and they have three little girls: Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett. They even said they have a fourth girl on the way! A full house, for sure!
And then there’s Travis, the younger one, always making headlines. These articles kept mentioning Shawn as their older brother, so I was convinced he was real.
But then, the plot thickened. I stumbled upon another article. This one claimed that Shawn Kelce isn’t even a real person! It said he was a made-up character by CBS for some Super Bowl promo. I was like, “What?!”
My Investigation
So, here’s what I did:
- Deep Dive into Family History: I looked up the Kelce family. Found out that Jason and Travis were born two years apart and grew up in Ohio. Their parents are Donna and Ed, but guess what? It mentioned they got divorced. Even that I confirmed it on an episode of the New Heights podcast. But no mention of any other siblings, especially a “Shawn”!
- Checked Social Media Again: I went back to the social media posts. Some people were definitely treating Shawn Kelce like a real person. But then others were saying he was fake. It was a total mess!
- Looked for Official Sources: I tried to find anything official about the Kelce family – interviews, family statements, anything. Nothing. Zip. Nada. No Shawn.
The Verdict
After all this digging, I’m pretty sure Shawn Kelce is just a fictional character. I mean, if he was real, there would be something more concrete out there, right? It seems like CBS created him for a fun little skit, and some people took it way too seriously. It turns out that there are only two Kelce brothers, and Shawn is not one of them.
It’s crazy how easily misinformation can spread online. One minute you think there’s a secret Kelce brother, and the next you find out he’s just a figment of someone’s imagination. Always gotta double-check your sources, folks!
Anyway, that was my wild ride for the day. Thought you guys would find it interesting. Let me know if you heard anything different about this whole Shawn Kelce thing!
