Okay, so I’ve been messing around with team comps for Jiyan, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I started off just throwing characters together, you know, whoever I liked. Big mistake. Turns out, team synergy is, like, super important.

My first attempt? Oh boy. I think I had Jiyan, some random healer, and a couple of other DPS characters I thought looked cool. It was a mess. No reactions, no buffs, just… pure chaos. I got wiped so fast in the domains, it wasn’t even funny.
So, I went back to the drawing board. Started reading some guides, watching some videos. Turns out, I needed to think about things like elemental reactions and support abilities.
Here’s what I learned:
- Jiyan is an Aero, and I needed a good sub.
- I needed the other 2 characters to buff my main two.
My second attempt was a little better. I swapped in supports and kept one healer. It was… okay. We survived longer, but the damage output still felt kinda weak.
The Real Deal
So, the third comp, that one really seems to be working well. The basic idea is this:
I use a team comp of Jiyan, one support, and one more support, plus a healer for some sustain. I tried a version with out a healer and was getting wiped, so I added her back.
I went in, popped all my skills to test damage and it went well. This comp might be the one I stick with!
This whole process taught me a valuable lesson: don’t just throw your favorite characters together and hope for the best. Thinking through your set up is key. My first group was so bad! It takes time, experimentation, and maybe a little bit of research, but it’s worth it when you finally find that killer combo that just clicks.
