Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Joe Rogan, the UFC commentator. You know, the guy who yells and hollers during the fights?
Joe Rogan, the Voice of UFC
Folks keep askin’ me, “Who’s that loudmouth talkin’ during them cage fights?” Well, that’s Joe Rogan. He ain’t no fighter, mind you, but he sure does get worked up like he’s in there throwin’ punches himself. He’s been with the UFC for a long, long time, over 20 years they say. That’s a lot of yellin’ and hollerin’, I tell ya.
Now, some folks love him, some folks can’t stand him. That’s just how it is. He gets real excited, you see. Like when a fella gets knocked out cold, Joe jumps outta his seat and screams like he won the lottery. And when someone gets punched real hard, he goes, “Oooooh! He’s hurt!” It’s kinda like watchin’ the fight with your neighbor who just can’t keep quiet.
I heard he makes a pretty penny doin’ this too. Someone told me he gets somethin’ like fifty thousand dollars a fight! Can you imagine? Fifty thousand dollars just to sit there and yell! Land sakes, that’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life. They say he gets a little bit of money upfront, and then a whole bunch more if lots of people watch the fight on TV. It’s called “pay-per-view” or somethin’ like that. Fancy words for fancy money, I guess.
- Joe Rogan gets excited: He yells and screams a lot during fights.
- Been with UFC for a long time: Over 20 years, they say.
- Makes good money: Around $50,000 per fight!
Some fighters, they don’t like him so much. They say he talks too much, or that he favors certain fighters. I don’t know about all that. I just watch the fights and listen to him yell. Sometimes he makes sense, sometimes he just sounds like a rooster crowin’ at sunrise. But hey, that’s part of the show, ain’t it?
More Than Just Yelling
But Joe Rogan ain’t just a yeller, you know. He knows a thing or two about fightin’, I guess. He talks about techniques and strategies and all that fancy stuff. Sometimes he points out things that I don’t even see, like how a fella moved his head just in time to dodge a punch. Or how someone’s got a good jab or a strong kick. He sees stuff that regular folks like me miss.
And he interviews the fighters after the fight, too. He asks them how they feel, what they were thinkin’ during the fight, all that kinda stuff. Sometimes the fighters are all beat up and bruised, but they still answer his questions. It’s kinda like he’s givin’ them a chance to tell their side of the story, you know? He seems friendly enough with them, even though he yells so much during their fights.
I heard he’s got his own show too, a podcast or somethin’. He talks to all sorts of people, not just fighters. Smart folks, funny folks, all kinds of folks. He must be a pretty smart fella himself, even if he does act like a wild man during the fights. I ain’t never listened to his show, though. I ain’t got time for all that talkin’. I got chores to do!
Joe Rogan and Dana White
And then there’s this other fella, Dana White, the big boss of the UFC. He and Joe Rogan are like two peas in a pod, they say. Dana’s the one who brought Joe back to the UFC a long time ago, and they’ve been buddies ever since. It’s kinda like a family thing, I guess. Dana’s the serious one, the business man. And Joe’s the… well, Joe’s the yeller. But they seem to get along just fine.
I reckon Joe Rogan is important to the UFC. He brings a lot of energy and excitement to the fights. He might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he’s been around for a long time, and he knows his stuff. And even if he does yell a bit too much, well, that’s just part of who he is. He’s Joe Rogan, the UFC commentator, and that’s all there is to it.
So next time you’re watchin’ a UFC fight and you hear someone screamin’ their head off, you’ll know who it is. It’s just Joe, doin’ his thing. He’s part of the show, just like the fighters and the ring girls and all the rest of it. And whether you love him or hate him, you gotta admit, he makes things interesting.
Rogan Knows Fighting
Folks might think he’s just a loudmouth, but he really does know about fighting. I heard him talking about some fighter, Jon Jones, saying he’s the best there ever was. He goes on and on about the moves and the techniques, like he’s been fightin’ his whole life. He uses words I don’t even understand half the time, but he sure sounds like he knows what he’s talkin’ about. And he doesn’t always agree with what the other commentator says. Sometimes they argue right there on TV, which can be kinda funny. One minute he says a fighter moves one way, then a little later he says somethin’ different. Makes you wonder if he’s payin’ attention, but I guess that’s just how fightin’ is, always changin’. He even talks about the little mistakes fighters make, things that I’d never notice. It’s like he’s got a magnifying glass on the fight, seein’ every little detail. He points out when a fighter gets tired, or when they’re hurt, or when they’re tryin’ a new move. He’s like a hawk watchin’ a mouse, nothin’ gets past him.
And let me tell you, sometimes the stuff he says makes me laugh. Like that time he was commentatin’ and somebody spilled a drink and he went on and on about it. It was just a little spill, but he made it sound like the whole arena was flooded! He’s got a way of makin’ even the boring stuff sound exciting. That’s his job, I guess, keepin’ folks entertained. And he sure does a good job of it, even if he’s a bit… well, you know, loud.
He’s seen a lot of fights, that’s for sure. He’s been there for the knockouts, the submissions, the upsets, everything. He’s seen fighters come and go, champions rise and fall. He’s like a walking encyclopedia of UFC history. And he’s not afraid to speak his mind, either. If he thinks a fight was boring, he’ll say it. If he thinks a fighter got robbed, he’ll say it. He’s honest, that’s for sure. Maybe too honest sometimes, but that’s just Joe. He tells it like it is, even if it ain’t always pretty.
So yeah, Joe Rogan, the UFC commentator. He’s a loudmouth, he’s a yeller, he’s a bit of a wild man. But he’s also knowledgeable, passionate, and entertaining. And he’s been a part of the UFC for so long, it’s hard to imagine a fight without him. He’s just part of the whole package, like the cage, the gloves, and the roar of the crowd. He’s the voice of the UFC, and he ain’t goin’ anywhere anytime soon.
