Well now, let me tell ya about this young fella named Kiyan Anthony. If you don’t know him yet, you’re gonna hear a lot more about him soon enough. This boy, he’s got basketball in his blood, no doubt about that. He’s the son of none other than Carmelo Anthony, that big-time NBA player who played for teams like the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, and a whole bunch of others. You might’ve heard of him, he’s one of the top-10 all-time scorers in the NBA! And let me tell ya, his son Kiyan’s lookin’ like he might just follow in them big ol’ footsteps.
Kiyan was born March 7, 2007, in New York, and he’s the only child of Carmelo and his wife, La La Anthony. Now, this young man has been playin’ ball since he could walk. When he was just a little tyke, I reckon he couldn’t have been more than 3-foot-something. You shoulda seen him back then, wearin’ his daddy’s New York Knicks jersey, probably didn’t even know what it meant, but it sure made folks take notice. Fast forward a few years, and this fella’s standin’ at a solid 6-foot-5 at just 17 years old! Ain’t that somethin’?
Now, this boy, Kiyan, he plays the shooting guard position, and let me tell ya, he’s already makin’ a name for himself. He’s in high school now, goin’ to Long Island Lutheran High, but he didn’t start there. No, sir. He first went to Christ the King High School, but looks like he found a better fit over at Long Island Lutheran. I reckon that’s where he’s gettin’ some real serious training.
Now, if you’re lookin’ for numbers, well, this kid’s got ’em. He’s ranked as a top-50 prospect for the class of 2025 by all them big sports sites like ESPN and 247Sports. Some folks even got him at No. 36 for his class, which is mighty impressive for a young fella still in high school. And I heard he’s already been offered spots by some of the big schools like Syracuse and USC. He’s still waitin’ on Auburn, but you know it’s only a matter of time before they come knockin’ too.
The boy’s got skills, no doubt. He’s been playin’ in the Nike EYBL league and holdin’ his own, goin’ head-to-head with some of the best in the nation. You can see him out there, movin’ with a purpose, lookin’ to make plays and show folks just what he’s made of. And, to top it all off, his dad, Carmelo, he’s been workin’ with Kiyan every step of the way. I heard Kiyan say in a documentary that his dad pushed him hard from the start, taught him how to stay focused, and really honed his game. Now that’s some serious father-son teamwork right there!
But what’s most amazin’ to me is how this boy carries himself. He’s been raised right, with his mom and dad teachin’ him not just how to be a good ball player, but how to be a good person. I reckon it’s not just about the game for him. It’s about workin’ hard, keepin’ his head on straight, and takin’ care of business both on and off the court.
Now, let’s talk about what might be next for Kiyan. He’s still got a year or two left before he’s ready for the big leagues, but the future’s lookin’ mighty bright. Some folks say he might end up in the NBA, just like his daddy. With his skills, his work ethic, and his bloodline, it ain’t too hard to see why people are makin’ those predictions.
But you know, no matter where he ends up, whether it’s playin’ for one of them top college teams or makin’ his way to the NBA, Kiyan Anthony’s already left a mark. And he’s just gettin’ started, folks. So keep your eyes peeled, ‘cause this kid’s goin’ places, that’s for sure.
