Alright, so listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about this young fella, Kiyan Carmelo Anthony. Yeah, that’s right, Carmelo Anthony’s boy. Folks been buzzin’ about him, ya know? Like a bunch of bees around a honeypot.
Now, this kid, he’s somethin’ else. They say he’s a real good basketball player, like his daddy. Real good. He’s been playin’ in somethin’ called the EYBL, whatever that is. Sounds fancy, huh? Anyways, he scored a whole bunch of points there, like, almost 20 a game. That’s a lot, even I know that. And they say that league, the EYBL, it’s the best there is for young fellas playin’ basketball. So, he must be doin’ somethin’ right, this Kiyan.
They got these websites, you know, the ones on the computer, that rank these young players. One of ’em, *, they say he’s like the 34th best player in his whole age group. And another one, *, they say he’s 36th. Whatever the number, it sounds like he’s pretty darn good. They call him a four-star recruit, too. Sounds important, like one of them fancy generals or somethin’.
- He can score, that’s for sure.
- He plays guard, whatever that means in basketball terms.
- And he’s apparently a “shooting guard” at that. Guess he’s good at shootin’ the ball.
Now, his daddy, Carmelo, he was a basketball star too, a real famous one. Won all sorts of medals and championships. Even Olympic gold medals, can you believe it? Folks say Carmelo was one of the best players ever. So, Kiyan’s got big shoes to fill, that’s for sure. Big, big shoes.
But Kiyan, he’s makin’ his own way. He’s gotta decide where he’s gonna play college basketball. That’s a big decision for a young fella. It’s like choosin’ which field to plant your crops in, you wanna make sure it’s the right one. People been guessin’ where he’ll go. It’s been a whole lot of talk, like a hen house full of clucking chickens.
Carmelo, he’s got this podcast thingy, where he talks and people listen. He was talkin’ about Kiyan’s choices on there. Said it’s a tough decision. And then, just a little while ago, Kiyan, he finally made up his mind. He picked a college. Big news, it was. Folks were waitin’ on the edge of their seats, like waitin’ for the rain after a long drought.
See, this whole college basketball thing, it’s a big deal. It’s like a stepping stone to the NBA, which is where all the really, really good players go. Kiyan, he’s tryin’ to get there, just like his daddy did. He’s one step closer now, they say. One step closer to playin’ with the best of the best.
Carmelo, he was real happy about Kiyan’s decision. Proud as a peacock, I bet. He knows it’s a big step for his boy. And he probably knows it ain’t gonna be easy. But Kiyan, he seems like a hard worker. He’s got that fire in his belly, you can tell. He wants to make somethin’ of himself. And that’s all a parent can ask for, ain’t it? Just wants their kids to do good and be happy.
So, that’s the story of Kiyan Carmelo Anthony, so far. He’s a talented young fella with a bright future. He’s got a famous daddy, but he’s makin’ his own name. And we’ll all be watchin’ to see what he does next. It’s gonna be somethin’ special, I reckon. Just you wait and see.
