Okay, so today I decided to dig into the stats from the Brooklyn Nets vs. Los Angeles Lakers game. I’m a huge basketball fan, and I always love diving deep into the numbers after a game. So, I grabbed my laptop and got started!

Finding the Stats
First things first, I needed to find a reliable source for the player stats. I started to search online for the box score. I wanted something accurate and easy to read.
After locating a good source I started checking stats box.
Organizing the Data
Once I had the stats in front of me, I wanted to organize them in a way that made sense to me. I decided to create a simple list to keep track of the key players and their performance.
- Points: I started by noting down how many points each player scored.
- Rebounds: Next, I looked at rebounds – both offensive and defensive.
- Assists: Assists were important, showing how well players were setting up their teammates.
- Steals and Blocks: I also wanted to see the defensive contributions, so I noted steals and blocks.
- FG%, 3P%, FT% I started to check players’s hooping percentage.
Analyzing the Performance
With the data organized, I started to analyze what actually happened in the game. I looked at who the top scorers were, who dominated the boards, and who was dishing out the most assists. and each players * was cool to see how the stats reflected the flow of the game.
I spent a good amount of time just comparing player performances. It’s always interesting to see how different players contribute in different ways. Some guys are pure scorers, others are all about hustle and defense. It’s the combination of all these roles that makes a team work!
So, that was my little data dive for the day! It’s always fun to combine my love for basketball with a bit of data analysis. I feel like I understand the game a little bit better after going through the numbers.
