Okay, so I saw this name, Lincoln Kienholz, popping up everywhere. At first, I was like, “Who’s this guy?” Turns out, he’s a football player, a quarterback to be exact. And not just any quarterback, this dude’s got some serious skills. I started digging around, you know, as one does when they’re curious.
First thing I did was check out his high school career. I mean, the guy was a beast in South Dakota. He threw for the most passing yards in the entire state’s history. Not only that, He was also named the USA Today’s National Athlete of the Year in 2023. And he got picked to play in that big All-American Bowl game. That’s a pretty big deal for a high school kid, right?
Then I found out he was supposed to go to the University of Washington to play college ball, but then he switched it up and went to Ohio State University instead. I’m thinking, “Okay, this is getting interesting.”
- Competition at Ohio State:
So, I started looking into his situation at Ohio State. Apparently, he’s in the running for the starting quarterback job. That’s huge! But it’s not gonna be easy. I read that he’s up against a few other guys, like Will Howard and Devin Brown. So it is like five quarterbacks on the roster. They are all fighting for that top spot. He is one of them.
- Staying Put:
I saw some rumors online about him maybe transferring to another school, but then I found this article where he said he’s staying at Ohio State. He’s not going anywhere. He’s committed to the team and wants to fight for his spot.
What I think:
This Lincoln Kienholz guy, he’s got the talent, no doubt. I think it is pretty awesome that he is determined to prove himself. He’s not taking the easy way out by transferring. I think this guy is interesting to keep an eye on.
