Okay, so I needed to track down a whole bunch of Lumitoile recently. You know how it is, character ascensions wait for no one, and these little blue things were next on the list.

Starting the Hunt
First thing, I headed straight for the newer northern areas of Fontaine. Figured they’d be concentrated up there, especially around all that water. Didn’t really have a map guide, just started exploring the zones that looked promising, mainly the coastlines and anything that looked recently submerged or affected by the water level changes.
Where I Found Them
Turns out, they really like being near or in the water. Found loads of them stuck to surfaces:
- Underwater Ruins: Spent a good chunk of time diving around the remains of buildings. Lots of Lumitoile clinging to the walls and structures down there. Seriously, check underwater thoroughly.
- Beaches and Shorelines: Scoured the edges where water meets land. Found quite a few just sitting on the sand or stuck to rocks right at the water line.
- Cliff Bases Near Water: Looked along the bottom of cliffs that dropped into the sea or lakes. Some were tucked onto ledges or attached to the rock face near the water level.
They look like little blue starfish or shells, kinda glowy. Hard to miss when you’re close, but sometimes they blend in surprisingly well, especially underwater against blueish rocks.
Quick Tips from My Run
Honestly, it wasn’t the absolute worst grind I’ve done. They seem pretty grouped together once you find a good spot. Just keep your eyes peeled near any body of water in those northern zones. Don’t just look at eye level; check underwater surfaces and slightly higher up on walls near the water too. Swimming around the base of large structures seemed like the most efficient way for me.
Ended up getting the amount I needed after hitting those main spots. Took a bit of swimming and climbing, but got the job done. Just gotta be methodical about checking the watery areas.
