Well, let me tell ya, folks, there’s this young girl named Mya Lynn Lesnar, and she’s doin’ real good for herself. Now, I know you might recognize that last name, ‘Lesnar,’ and that’s right, she’s the daughter of none other than that big ol’ WWE wrestler Brock Lesnar. But don’t go thinkin’ she’s just sittin’ around on her daddy’s coattails, no ma’am. She’s out there breakin’ records and makin’ a name for herself in the world of track and field.
Mya was born on April 10th, 2002, in Alexandria, Minnesota. Now, she didn’t grow up in the bright lights and cameras like her famous daddy, oh no, she kept things pretty low-key. That’s how they do up north, I reckon. She went to Alexandria Area High School and started doin’ sports, first tryin’ her hand at track and field. She didn’t just dabble in it, either; she was a natural, and before long, she was tossin’ shot puts and discus like nobody’s business.
Now, I know what you’re thinkin’, shot put? That’s a mighty heavy ball to be throwin’ around. But Mya, she’s got the muscles for it! She’s strong, and in 2024, she became the NCAA indoor champion in shot put, throwin’ that ball a whopping 18.53 meters! That’s about 60 feet and 9 and a half inches, which is somethin’ to be real proud of. She didn’t stop there, though. Mya’s always pushin’ herself. Just this year, she broke her own record again, hittin’ 19.08 meters at the Mountain West Outdoor Championship. That’s some serious throwin’ right there, folks.
Now, don’t get confused, she didn’t start all this at some fancy college right off the bat. Mya first spent her freshman and sophomore years at Arizona State University before transferin’ to Colorado State University. And let me tell ya, she’s been turnin’ heads ever since. It’s no surprise, really, with her daddy’s strong genes, she was bound to be a powerhouse.
But, here’s somethin’ you might not know—Mya’s got a twin brother named Luke, too. That’s right, they both came into this world together back in 2002. And if that ain’t enough, she’s also got two half-brothers, Turk and Duke, from her daddy Brock’s second marriage to Rena Marlette, known in the ring as Sable. So, she’s got a big family, but she sure does keep her life quiet. She don’t go shoutin’ about it to the whole world. She’s just out there doin’ her thing, makin’ her mark in the world of sports.
But let’s not forget who Mya’s daddy is. Brock Lesnar, well now, he’s no stranger to bein’ in the limelight. Folks know him from his days in the WWE and his time in UFC, where he was the Heavyweight Champion. Big ol’ strong guy, I tell ya! But Mya, she’s makin’ a name for herself, too, and you better believe that she’s just as tough as her daddy. Maybe she’ll be throwin’ more championships her way soon enough!
One thing I’ve noticed about Mya is that she’s humble. I don’t hear her boastin’ or braggin’, and I like that in a young person. She’s focused, determined, and works hard every day to get better. She might have grown up with a famous daddy, but Mya’s makin’ her own path, and that’s somethin’ worth talkin’ about.
So, if you’re a fan of track and field, or maybe just a fan of strong women, keep an eye on Mya Lesnar. She’s gonna do some mighty big things, that’s for sure. And you know, she’s gonna keep doin’ it her way, no matter where life takes her.
