Okay, so today I wanted to dive into something I’ve been messing around with – figuring out who’s coaching Michigan football. Sounds simple, right? It kinda blew up into a bigger project than I expected.

First, I started with the obvious: a quick search. I just typed in “Michigan football coach” and figured the answer would pop right up. And yeah, it did… sort of.
- I got the current coach’s name, no problem.
- But then I started thinking, “What about all the coaches? Like, a list of everyone who’s ever held the job?”
That’s when things got a little more complicated. The initial search results were okay, but they were mostly news articles and current stuff. I needed something more comprehensive, a real historical record.
Digging Deeper
So, I refined my search. I tried things like “history of Michigan football coaches” and “list of all Michigan football coaches.” This helped a bit. I found some dedicated sports sites and fan pages that had more detailed information.
The problem? The information was scattered all over the place! One site might have a list, but it was incomplete. Another site had a great article about the early years, but nothing about recent coaches. I was basically piecing things together like a puzzle.
I spent a good chunk of time copying and pasting information from different websites into a simple text document. I figured it would be easier to organize everything if it was all in one place. This was definitely the most tedious part.
Finally I organized my simple text *’s done.
