Okay, so I was curious about how much NFL GMs make, you know, the guys calling the shots for the teams. I figured it’s gotta be a good chunk of change, but I wanted to see some actual numbers.

First, I just did a simple search. It is really easy to find something, I typed in “NFL GM salary” and boom, a bunch of stuff popped up.
I started digging through a few of these results. I saw some varying numbers, some websites were giving ranges, others were just throwing out single figures. It was kind of a mess, to be honest.
My Research Process
- Started Broad: General Google search, like I mentioned.
- Refined My Search: I tried adding things like “average” and “per year” to my search to get more specific results.
- Checked Multiple Sources: I didn’t just rely on the first thing I saw. I clicked around a few different websites. I found many websties, and the result is quite different.
One of the first solid numbers I found, it shows average salary and some addtional pay. It looks like:
The average General Manager base salary at NFL is $94K per year. The average additional pay is $19K per year, which could include cash bonus, stock, commission, profit sharing or tips.
But it’s just an average data, I think. It is not accutate.
So, yeah, that’s my little deep dive into NFL GM salaries. It’s not super precise, but it gives you a general idea. It definitely takes some digging to get the full picture!
