Alright, let me tell you about my little adventure with getting those Overwatch Twitch drop skins to actually show up in my game. It was a bit of a head-scratcher for a while there.

So, I put in the hours, watched the streams like a good soldier, and made sure I claimed the drop over on Twitch. Felt pretty good about it. Fired up Overwatch later, all excited to check out the new skin, maybe show it off a bit.
Got into the Hero Gallery, went to the specific hero… nothing. Nada. The skin wasn’t unlocked. My first thought was, “Huh? Did I mess something up?”
Checking the Basics
First thing I did was double-check on Twitch itself. I went straight to my Twitch Inventory page, you know, the section where it shows all the Drops you’ve earned.
- Yep, there it was. Claimed. Had the little checkmark and everything. So, Twitch knew I’d earned it.
Okay, so if Twitch says I got it, the next step is the connection between Twitch and my * account. That’s usually where the wires get crossed.
The Connection Tango
I headed into my Twitch settings, found the ‘Connections’ tab. Scrolled down until I saw *. It looked connected. It said it was linked to the right account name.
But sometimes, just looking connected isn’t enough. Things get stale, I guess. So, I decided to do the ol’ disconnect and reconnect shuffle.
- I hit the ‘Disconnect’ button next to * on Twitch. Confirmed it.
- Then, I immediately hit ‘Connect’ again and went through the * login process to re-authorize the link. Made sure it was definitely the correct * account I use for Overwatch.
While I was at it, I also hopped over to my * account settings on their website, went to the ‘Connections’ section there too, just to make sure Twitch showed up as authorized. It did, but refreshing the link felt like the right move.
Patience and Restarts
After doing the reconnect dance, I didn’t expect it to show up instantly. Sometimes these things take a while to sync up between Twitch and Blizzard’s servers. Could be minutes, could be hours.

So, I gave it some time. Played a few matches, logged off for a bit. Did the classic steps:
- Logged completely out of Overwatch.
- Logged completely out of the * launcher.
- Even restarted the * launcher just to be sure.
- Waited maybe another hour or so.
Success! (Eventually)
Logged back into Overwatch later that day… and bingo! There it was. The skin was finally sitting in my Hero Gallery, all unlocked and ready to go.
For me, it seemed like the combination of re-linking the Twitch and * accounts and then just being patient while the systems updated did the trick. It wasn’t instant after the relink, but it definitely showed up way sooner than if I had just waited without doing anything.
So yeah, if your skin isn’t showing up, definitely check your Twitch Inventory first, then try that disconnect/reconnect process for your * account on the Twitch settings page, and give it a bit of time and maybe a restart. Usually sorts itself out.
