Okay, here’s my take on Payton Pritchard’s height, based on my deep dive (and some personal experience, kinda).

Alright folks, so I was watching the Celtics game the other night, and Pritchard was just zipping around out there. Made me wonder, “How tall is that dude really?” You know how it is, sometimes those listed heights are…generous. So, I went down a rabbit hole.
First thing I did was hit up the usual suspects – *, ESPN, all that jazz. They all say 6’1″. Okay, cool. But then I started digging deeper. I remember reading something about how listed heights can be fudged a bit.
I started searching for pictures of him standing next to other players. Like, next to Marcus Smart (listed at 6’3″) or Jayson Tatum (listed at 6’8″). You gotta eyeball it, right? It’s not perfect, but you can get a decent idea.
Here’s what I found:
- He definitely looks shorter than Smart. Maybe by a couple inches.
- Compared to Tatum, well, that’s a whole different story. Tatum towers over him, as expected.
So, 6’1″ seems pretty accurate, at least in shoes. Maybe he’s closer to 5’11” or 6’0″ barefoot. Who knows? It’s all speculation, honestly. But, hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
The interesting thing is, even if he’s on the shorter side for an NBA point guard, he plays bigger than his height. He’s scrappy, he’s got a good handle, and he’s not afraid to mix it up. Reminds me a bit of myself when I used to play pickup ball. I was never the tallest guy, but I always gave it my all.
Then I remembered reading something about where he grew up. Tualatin, Oregon! I actually drove through there once on a road trip. Small world, huh?
Anyway, that’s my investigation into the Payton Pritchard height situation. 6’1″ seems like the best estimate, but who really knows? The main thing is, he’s a baller, regardless of his height.
