Alright, let’s talk about this Rhea Ripley, or whatever her real name is… Demi something, right? Don’t rightly know when she was born, but folks say it was in 1996. Makes her a young’un, I guess. She’s one of them wrestling women, you know, the ones that jump around and pretend to fight on TV. My grandkids, they love this stuff, can’t get enough of it. Me? I don’t see the point, but hey, to each their own, I always say.
Now, this Rhea, she’s apparently a big deal in that wrestling world. WWE, they call it. Started out somewhere else, NXT, they say, and now she’s on some show called Raw. Sounds like a tough gal, always yelling and making faces. My neighbor’s kid, little Mikey, he says she’s super strong and scary. Kids these days, they like all that rough and tumble. I just hope they don’t try that stuff at home, someone’s gonna get hurt.
- Started wrestling young
- Went from NXT to Raw
- Big and strong, kinda scary
They say she’s from Australia. That’s way over yonder, across the big water. Never been there myself, but I hear it’s hot and full of strange critters. Makes you wonder how a girl from Australia ends up wrestling on TV, huh? It’s a funny old world, that’s for sure. Folks do all sorts of things these days to make a living. Back in my day, you worked on the farm or you worked in the factory, that was it. But these youngsters, they got all sorts of fancy jobs.
This Rhea girl, she’s changed a lot since she started wrestling, or so I’m told. Different hair, different clothes, all that. They even say she can’t have kids for several years. It’s her business, I guess. I don’t pay much attention to the details, but the grandkids, they keep me updated. “Grandma,” they say, “Rhea’s got a new outfit!” or “Grandma, Rhea won the match!” It’s like listening to a whole different language sometimes, but I smile and nod along. It makes them happy, and that’s what matters.
One thing I did hear, though, is that she likes some cartoon show called Dragon Ball Z. Now, that’s something I can understand! My grandson, little Timmy, he watches that show too. All that yelling and fighting, it’s the same as wrestling, ain’t it? Just goes to show, even big tough wrestlers are kids at heart sometimes. Makes you think, doesn’t it? We all got our little quirks, no matter how old or how famous we get.
And get this, she’s apparently best friends with another wrestler gal, Raquel. Even though they fight each other on TV, they’re pals in real life. It’s all pretend, you see. Just like those old cowboy movies, where the good guy and the bad guy would be laughing and joking together after they finished filming. It’s all a show, smoke and mirrors they call it. But the kids, they don’t always see that. They think it’s all real, and they get all worked up about it.
This Rhea Ripley has apparently been wrestling for a few years now, not long though, maybe five years or so. She’s climbed up the ladder pretty fast, they say. From nobody to big star in no time. It’s like that saying, strike while the iron is hot. She must be working hard, I’ll give her that. It ain’t easy to make a name for yourself in this world, no matter what you do. And she seems like she’s top of the game now, the best or one of the best of the women wrestlers. That’s what they all say. I guess she found something she was good at.
Some folks say she’s aggressive and terrifying. Well, she kinda has to be if she’s wrestling, don’t she? You don’t get famous wrestling if you’re a soft touch. You gotta be tough, you gotta be mean, you gotta be willing to get knocked around a bit. It ain’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. But she’s good at it, I guess. Folks seem to like watching her.
So yeah, that’s what I know about this Rhea Ripley. Or Demi. Whatever her name is. She’s a wrestler, she’s from Australia, she likes cartoons, and she’s friends with her rivals. And the kids love her. Seems like a nice enough gal, even if she does yell a lot. But then again, I ain’t the one getting thrown around in a wrestling ring. Maybe if I was, I’d be yelling too.
Anyway, that’s my two cents. Take it or leave it. I gotta go now, the biscuits are burning. You young folks and your fancy wrestlers… always something new to talk about, ain’t it?
