Okay, so I’ve been digging into Rickie Fowler’s performance in the majors, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride.
I started by just going through his results year by year. I mean, the guy’s been around for a while, so there’s a ton of data. I grabbed a pen and a notepad, no fancy tools, just good old-fashioned note-taking.
Majors Overview
Then, I focused on each major separately.
- Masters: He’s had some decent finishes here, but also a few missed cuts. I jotted down each year, his score, and where he finished.
- PGA Championship: Similar story here. Some good, some not-so-good. It was interesting to see the ups and downs. I made sure to highlight any top-10 finishes.
- U.S. Open: This one seems to be a bit tougher for him. I noticed more missed cuts and lower finishes here. Still, I recorded everything meticulously.
- The Open Championship: He’s actually done pretty well here, especially in the early 2010s. I underlined those years and made a note to look into them further.
After getting all that down, I started comparing his performance across the different majors. I created a simple table to see it all in one place. This made it much easier to spot trends and patterns.
Finally, I dove into some specific years that stood out. For example, in 2014, he finished in the top 5 in all four majors. That’s crazy! I went back and looked at what he did differently that year, tried to figure out what clicked for him. I read some old news articles and interviews from that time.
So yeah, that’s basically what I’ve been up to. It’s been a lot of digging, a lot of note-taking, but it’s been pretty interesting. He is a great player and we all want to see him succeed in the Majors! Hope it can help you guys and I will continue to do the research and share it with you!
