Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about them Warriors, yeah, the basketball team. The one with that Steph Curry fella, the skinny one who shoots like a dream. We gonna figure out who’s starting these days, ‘cause it changes more often than the weather in spring, ya know? Gotta keep track, or you’ll be lost like a calf in the tall grass.
So, first off, you got Steph Curry. He’s always starting, unless that ankle of his starts acting up again. That boy’s got ankles like glass, I swear. But when he’s good, he’s real good. Can’t nobody shoot like him, not even that old fella Larry Bird they used to talk about.
Then there’s this Brandin Podziemski kid. New guy, kinda. Coach Kerr, that fella with the slicked-back hair, seems to like him. Puts him in the starting lineup, so he must be doing something right. Runs around a lot, passes the ball good. Not flashy, but gets the job done, you know?
And Andrew Wiggins. Now, this one’s a puzzle. Sometimes he plays like a champ, all smooth and jumpin’ high. Other times, he looks like he forgot how to play basketball. But when he’s on, he’s a real help to Steph and the boys. He’s been starting lately, so I guess he’s doing alright.
Now, here’s where it gets tricky. They used to start that Draymond Green fella. He’s tough as nails, that one. Yells a lot, gets into trouble sometimes, but he’s a winner. But that calf of his started acting up, and now he’s coming off the bench. So who they startin’ instead?
Well, for a while, they were trying out this Jonathan Kuminga young fella. Strong as an ox, that boy. Can jump out the gym, too. But he’s still kinda green, you know? Makes mistakes. Sometimes he starts, sometimes he don’t. Coach Kerr keeps changin’ his mind, it seems like. Makes it hard for an old lady like me to keep up, I tell ya.
- So, to recap, we got:
- Steph Curry – for sure starter.
- Brandin Podziemski – Seems like he’s sticking around in the starting lineup.
- Andrew Wiggins – He’s starting now, but who knows for how long.
And as for the rest? Well, it depends. If Draymond’s calf is feelin’ good, he might start. If not, it could be Kuminga, or maybe somebody else entirely. Coach Kerr, he likes to mix things up, keep the other teams guessin’. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don’t. Lately, they been losin’ more than they winnin’, which ain’t good. Makes me worried, it does.
They were doin’ so good at the start of the season, winnin’ all the time. Then, bam! Started losin’ left and right. Injuries, bad plays, I don’t know what happened. Maybe they need to find a new starting lineup, one that works better. Maybe they need to stick with one group and let ‘em play together, get used to each other.
I remember back in the day, when teams had the same starters year after year. You knew who was gonna be out there, you knew what they were gonna do. Nowadays, it’s all changin’ all the time. Hard to keep track, I tell ya. But one thing’s for sure, as long as Steph Curry’s healthy and playin’, the Warriors got a chance. That boy’s special, he is. Just hope the rest of ‘em can step up and help him out.
So, that’s the deal with the Warriors starting lineup, as best as I can figure it. It ain’t set in stone, that’s for sure. But those are the names you’re likely to see at the start of the game. Unless Coach Kerr gets another one of his bright ideas, that is. Then, we’ll all be scratchin’ our heads again, tryin’ to figure out what’s goin’ on.
And that De’Anthony Melton fella, well he ain’t starting no more because he hurt his knee real bad. Poor boy. This basketball, it’s a rough game sometimes. One minute you’re runnin’ and jumpin’, the next you’re sittin’ on the bench with a bag of ice on your knee.
Anyhow, that’s all I got to say about it. Go Warriors!
