Okay, so, today I tried out that Sportskeeda mock draft thing. It was a bit of a wild ride, let me tell you.
First off, I opened up the Sportskeeda website. It’s pretty straightforward, nothing fancy. Then, I found the mock draft section – it wasn’t too hard to spot. I clicked on it, and boom, I was in.
They gave me a team to work with, a random one, which was kinda cool. It was the New Orleans Pelicans. I didn’t choose, but, honestly it doesn’t matter. My favorite team is Lakers. I started looking at the available players. They had all the big names, the guys you hear about all the time, and some lesser-known ones too. I spent some time just browsing, you know, getting a feel for who was who and what their stats were like. And I read some articles about them and watched some of their highlights.
Making My Picks
Then came the fun part – making my picks. I had to think about what my team needed, what positions were weak, and who was the best fit. It wasn’t just about picking the best players, but the right ones, you feel me? My first pick was easy as there’s only one. But the second and the third, man, that’s where it got tricky. I went back and forth, changed my mind like a hundred times. There were so many possibilities!
- Round 1, Pick 1: I picked a guy named Alex Sarr. He’s a center.
- Round 1, Pick 21: I drafted a point guard, Devin Carter.
- Round 2, Pick 51: I chose a guard from France, Melvin Ajinca.
After I finalized my picks, I sat back and looked at my team. It felt pretty good, like I had actually accomplished something. I shared my draft on social media, and some of my buddies hit me up to talk about it. We debated my choices, argued about who was better, and all that good stuff.
All in all, it was a fun way to kill a few hours. I might not be a real GM, but hey, I can pretend, right? If you’re into basketball, you should definitely check it out. It’s a good time.
