Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “Stone Lord” idea for a while, and I finally got something that feels pretty cool. I wanted to make, like, a giant rock monster, but I didn’t want to just sculpt it from scratch. Too much work, you know?

So, I started by grabbing a bunch of random rocks from my backyard. Nothing fancy, just whatever I could find. Different sizes, different shapes, the whole deal.
Getting Started
- Gathered a bunch of rocks.
- Found some strong adhesive. Think construction-grade stuff, not your kid’s glue stick.
- Grabbed some wire – I used some old chicken wire I had lying around.
Then I started playing around with the arrangement. Just kinda stacking them, seeing what looked like a head, what looked like arms, you get the picture. It’s like building with LEGOs, but way messier.
Once I had a rough shape I liked, I started gluing. And I mean, really gluing. This thing needed to be solid, not fall apart at the first breeze. I used a ton of that construction adhesive, the kind that comes in a caulking gun. Messy, but effective.
Building the Beast
The wire came in handy for the bigger pieces. I wrapped some around the “arms” and “legs” to give them some extra support. Kind of like a skeleton, but on the outside. It also helped hold the rocks together while the glue dried.
I let it sit for a good day or two. Gotta make sure that glue is completely cured, otherwise, you’re gonna have a rockslide on your hands. Trust me, I learned that the hard way with a previous… experiment.
And there he is the big Stone.
It’s not perfect, obviously. It’s a pile of rocks, after all. But it’s my pile of rocks, and I think it looks pretty imposing. And the best part? It cost me practically nothing, just some time and a bit of elbow grease.
