Alright, so I’ve been messing around with my CS:GO crosshair lately, trying to find that perfect setup. You know, the one that just feels right. And I stumbled upon Tarik’s crosshair settings. I figured, hey, if it works for a pro, might as well give it a shot, right?

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find Tarik’s actual settings. I did some digging around and found a few different versions floating around. I think because he sometimes change it himself, it’s not a big deal. I just grabbed the one and put it in my config.
Copy and Paste
I opened up my CS:GO config file and try to input those commands.
- cl_crosshairalpha “255”
- cl_crosshaircolor “5”
- cl_crosshaircolor_b “255”
- cl_crosshaircolor_g “255”
- cl_crosshaircolor_r “255”
- cl_crosshairdot “0”
- cl_crosshairgap “-3”
- cl_crosshairsize “1”
- cl_crosshairstyle “4”
- cl_crosshairusealpha “1”
- cl_crosshairthickness “1”
- cl_fixedcrosshairgap “-3”
- cl_crosshair_outlinethickness “0”
- cl_crosshair_drawoutline “0”
I pasted all of that into my autoexec, saved it. The autoexec is pretty much just a text file, but it has a special name and lives in a specific CS:GO folder. So after paste all settings into autoexec, I start the game.
Testing and Adjustment
Jumped into a practice game, and… well, it felt weird at first. It’s a pretty small, static crosshair, which is different from what I was using before. I played a few rounds, just trying to get a feel for it. Honestly, my aim felt a little off initially.
But I stuck with it. I spent some time in an aim training map, just focusing on getting used to the new crosshair. After a while, I actually started to like it! The small size made it feel really precise, and I could see my targets a lot more clearly. I was starting to land some pretty satisfying shots.
My Current Feeling
So, am I sticking with Tarik’s crosshair permanently? I’m not 100% sure yet. But, I’m definitely going to keep using it for a while longer. It’s grown on me, and I can see the potential. Maybe, just maybe, it’ll help me improve my game. I think I need to play more to be used to it.
I still think everyone’s preferences are different. What works for Tarik might not work for you. But, it’s always fun to experiment and try new things, right? That’s how you find what works best for you.
