Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Town Hall 11 attacks in Clash of Clans for a while now, and I wanted to share some stuff I’ve learned. It’s not like I’m a pro or anything, but I’ve definitely gotten better, and I think my notes might help some folks out.

Experimenting with Different Armies
First thing I did was just throw troops at bases. Seriously, I tried all sorts of combinations. I started with the usual stuff, like mass dragons, but honestly, it felt kinda boring, and sometimes it just flopped, especially against bases with good air defense placement.
Then I moved on to ground attacks. I played around with GoWiPe, which is Golems, Wizards, and P.E.K.*. It’s strong, but it can be slow, and if your funneling isn’t perfect, your P.E.K.* go sightseeing instead of smashing the core.
Finding My Go-To Strategy
After a bunch of trial and error, I started leaning towards hybrid attacks. I found that combining ground and air gives you way more flexibility. Right now, I’m really digging Queen Walk Miner Hog. Here’s how I usually break it down:
- Phase 1: The Queen Walk. I drop my Archer Queen with 4 or 5 healers. The goal here is to take out a chunk of the base, maybe an Eagle Artillery if it’s exposed, or some key defenses. You gotta be careful about air defenses and sweepers though, they can really mess up your Queen. Use rage and ability when the Queen encounter heavy damage.
- Phase 2: Creating the Funnel. While the Queen is doing her thing, I use a Baby Dragon or some Wizards on the opposite side to clear out some outside buildings. This helps funnel my main force towards the center.
- Phase 3: The Main Attack. I send in my Golem, followed by some Bowlers and the King. Then, I deploy my Miners and Hogs in waves, usually from the side where I created the funnel.
- Phase 4: Spells and Cleanup. I mostly use Heal Spells on my Miners and Hogs, especially when they’re going through areas with splash damage, like Wizard Towers or Bomb Towers. I might throw in a Rage Spell if they need a boost, and a Poison Spell for Clan Castle troops. And when the defenses are weak, launch balloons to destory them.
Things I’ve Learned (the Hard Way)
I’ve definitely messed up a lot, but that’s how you learn, right? Here are some key takeaways from my blunders:
- Scouting is KEY. Don’t just attack blindly. Look at the base layout, figure out where the traps might be, and plan your attack accordingly.
- Patience is a virtue. Don’t rush your deployment. Make sure your funnel is set before you send in your main troops.
- Don’t panic! Sometimes things go wrong. A stray Giant Bomb can wreck your Hogs, or your Queen might wander off course. Just try to adapt and salvage what you can.
- If your Queen is a bit low level, take a rage for her, she may need it.
Anyway, that’s my current TH11 attacking experience in a nutshell. I’m still learning and tweaking things, but hopefully, this helps someone out there! Good luck, and happy clashing!
