Hey everyone, today I wanna share something that kinda blew my mind. So, I was watching this movie, “Everything About Her,” you know, the one with Vilma Santos and Angel Locsin. It’s a Filipino flick, a comedy-drama, they call it. Anyways, I went in thinking it’s just another movie, but boy, was I wrong.
The story is about this tough businesswoman, Vivian, played by Vilma. She’s like, super successful, but also super harsh. Then, bam! She gets hit with cancer. Now, this is where it gets interesting. She hires a private nurse, Jaica, played by Angel, to take care of her. But here’s the twist – Jaica’s got her own mission. She’s trying to reconnect Vivian with her estranged son, Albert, played by Xian Lim.
Watching the movie was an experience in itself. It starts off showing you how much of a workaholic Vivian is, how she’s neglected everything else in her life, including her son. I gotta tell you, seeing that really hit home. It made me think about my own life, you know, how sometimes we get so caught up in work that we forget about the people around us.

First thing I did was actually watch the whole movie, of course. I mean, you can’t really talk about a movie without seeing it, right? And let me tell you, the performances were top-notch. Vilma Santos, she’s a legend, and she didn’t disappoint. And Angel Locsin, she was so good at balancing the drama and the comedy.

Then I dug a little deeper. I found out that the movie did pretty well when it came out, earning 15 million pesos on its first day. That’s a lot of money! It just goes to show how much people connected with the story.

I also read some reviews and articles about the movie. One of them talked about the life lessons you can learn from it, like how cancer can totally shatter your world. It’s a tough topic, but the movie handled it really well, I think.

One thing that kept coming up was this name, Dorothy. Now, I got curious. Turns out, there’s this amazing woman named Dorothy Day, who was a writer and an activist. She lived a long, complex life, and she even started her career writing for radical journals during World War One. That’s some serious stuff.

I stumbled upon this thing about Dorothy’s diary entries in a game. Apparently, there are five of them, and you gotta find them all to get some achievement. It’s kinda random, but it made me think about how Dorothy’s life and work have inspired so many people, even in unexpected ways.
My Observations
So yeah, that’s my little adventure with “Everything About Her” and Dorothy. It started with a movie, led me to some interesting discoveries, and made me reflect on life, work, and everything in between. It’s amazing how a simple movie night can turn into something so much more, right?
Oh, and I heard something about Bea, from the movie, being very sensitive in real life. It’s always interesting to hear these little tidbits about the actors. Makes them more human, you know?
Anyway, that’s all for now. Just wanted to share my thoughts and maybe get you guys thinking too. Have you seen the movie? What did you think? Let’s chat in the comments!
