Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “Mark Maye” thing, and I gotta say, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. I wanted to share my experience, mostly so I can remember what the heck I did later, but also maybe it’ll help someone else out there.

Getting Started
First off, I had to figure out what I actually wanted to do. “Mark Maye” is kinda vague, right? So I decided to focus on marking up some text, making certain words or phrases stand out. I thought about using it for notes, or maybe for highlighting key parts of articles I read.
The Process (aka My Messy Journey)
I started by, well, just writing some stuff down. A plain old text document. Then I thought, “Okay, how do I actually mark this?”
- First, I tried just using asterisks. Like, this is important. It worked, kinda, but it looked messy.
- Then I remembered about using double underscores. You know, __like this__. It’s the same as bolding but it felt a little different.
- I played with single asterisks and underscores for italics, which was alright.
It worked alright I just keep making marks. I needed something visual. I was getting sick of looking at plain text.
Making it Pretty(ish)
So, after all that, I thought I’d do something a little different. I went back and used the double asterisks and underscores mostly.
I wrote more text, and marked more things, I marked anything and everything that seemed important or interesting.
I kept going, writing, marking, then writing some more.
The Result (So Far)
Honestly, the result is… well, it’s marked. It’s definitely not the prettiest thing in the world, but it’s functional. I can quickly scan through my notes or whatever and see the important bits. I guess that’s the whole point, right?
I’m still figuring out the best way to use this “Mark Maye” thing in my daily life. It’s a work in progress, like everything else. But hey, at least I documented the whole messy process, so I won’t forget it! And I feel a bit better just putting it out there, you know?
