Well, let me tell you something about them golf games, especially the Masters. Now, you might be wonderin’, just how many pars were made in that big ol’ event in 2023. I heard tell it was a whole bunch, you know, more than you can shake a stick at.
The Masters, that’s a big deal, they say. Happens every year at this fancy place called Augusta National. Folks come from all over to watch them fellas hit that little white ball. And let me tell ya, it ain’t easy. They gotta hit it just right to get it in that hole, and sometimes, they just end up hittin’ it around in the grass. That’s when they get a par, see? Means they took the number of shots they were supposed to on that hole. Not too good, not too bad, just…par.
Now, from what I gather, them golfers, they made a whole heap of pars in 2023. We’re talkin’ about 3029 pars. Yep, you heard that right. Three thousand and twenty-nine times them fellas hit that ball just enough times to get a par. That’s a lot of hittin’ and a lot of pars, I reckon.
I heard someone say there were 93 players hittin’ the ball that week. Ninety-three! That’s more folks than you see at the county fair, I tell ya. And all them fellas, swingin’ and hittin’ and tryin’ to get that little ball in the hole. And a whole bunch of times, they got a par. 3029 times, to be exact.
- So, 3029 pars in total. That’s a big number, ain’t it?
- They say that’s more pars than the year before, but I can’t rightly remember. Numbers ain’t my strong suit, you know.
- And them birdies? Heard they made 880 of them. That’s when they get it in the hole with one less shot than they’re supposed to. Fancy stuff, them birdies. But we’re talkin’ pars today, and there were plenty of them.
Now, some fella named Jon Rahm, he won the whole shebang. Shot a 69 in the last round. That’s good, I guess. Folks were cheerin’ and clappin’. He beat out some other fellas, Koepka and Mickelson, they say. But even them fancy fellas, they made their share of pars, I betcha. Can’t win without a few pars, can ya?
This Masters thing, it went on for four days. Four whole days of hittin’ that little ball around. And all that time, them pars were addin’ up. 3029 of ‘em. It’s kinda like countin’ chickens, but instead of chickens, it’s pars. And let me tell you, 3029 is a whole lot of chickens, or pars, or whatever you wanna call ‘em.
They say the Masters is a real important golf game. The first big one of the year. Folks get all excited about it. And this year, 2023, was no different. All them pars, all them birdies, all that hittin’ and swingin’. It’s somethin’ else, I tell ya.
So, if anyone asks you how many pars in the 2023 Masters, you just tell ‘em what I told ya. 3029. That’s the magic number. A whole heap of pars, enough to make your head spin. But that’s golf for ya. Hit the ball, get a par, and maybe, just maybe, win yourself a fancy green jacket like that Jon Rahm fella.
And that’s all there is to it. 3029 pars. Remember that number. It’s more important than the price of eggs, or at least it is to them golf folks. Me? I’m just happy to sit here and tell you about it. Now, where’s my tea…
