Alright, so I decided it was time to really focus on getting Jinhsi leveled up and ready. First thing I did was pull up her character screen, you know, to see exactly what kind of mess I was getting into with these upgrade materials.

It listed a bunch of stuff. Some common things, looked like ‘Whispering Corals’ dropped by those annoying little crab things near the coast. Went out there first. Spent maybe an hour just running up and down the beach, smacking crabs. They dropped okay, wasn’t too bad, just boring. Filled up on those pretty quick.
Tackling the Tougher Stuff
Next on the list were ‘Abyssal Tears’. The game said they came from those bigger, shadowy fish monsters, the ones that hit like a truck if you mess up dodging. Found a couple of spawn points for them on the map. This was slower. Had to actually pay attention during the fight. Sometimes I’d kill one, and it dropped nothing. Felt like a waste of time. Kept at it though, rotating between the spots I knew. Took a good chunk of the afternoon just for these tears.
Then came the regional specialty, the ‘Moonlit Conches’. These were scattered all over the new island zone. Had to run around, climb cliffs, check behind rocks. Used one of those online interactive maps someone put together, helped a lot. Still, it’s just running. Grabbed maybe half of what I needed before I got tired of just collecting stuff off the ground.
Boss Fights and Weekly Grinds
Okay, the real headache started with the boss materials. Needed the ‘Heart of the Tide Sovereign’. This meant farming that specific world boss over and over. You beat it, wait for respawn, or use the resin/energy system, whatever the game calls it. Did that fight maybe five or six times? The drop rate for the heart wasn’t guaranteed, of course. Got lucky on some runs, got junk on others. It’s just how these games work, right? A total dice roll.
And don’t get me started on the weekly boss stuff. Needed ‘Sovereign’s Echo’ from that big underwater dragon thing you can only challenge once a week for rewards. Did the fight, got one echo. Just one. Looked at Jinhsi’s talent levels… yeah, I’m gonna need a lot more than one. Looks like this part is going to take weeks, maybe months, just waiting for the weekly reset.
- Farmed common ‘Whispering Corals’ – Easy but tedious.
- Hunted elites for ‘Abyssal Tears’ – Slower, required more focus, drop rate felt iffy.
- Collected ‘Moonlit Conches’ – Running simulator, used a map.
- Fought the world boss for ‘Heart of the Tide Sovereign’ – Repetitive, RNG dependent.
- Did the weekly boss for ‘Sovereign’s Echo’ – Time-gated, gonna take forever.
So that’s where I’m at. Got the common stuff done, made some progress on the elite and regional items. The boss materials are coming along slowly. But the weekly stuff? That’s the long haul. It feels like they really stretch out the progression for these new characters. You pull them, get excited, then hit this wall of material grinding, especially the time-gated parts. It is what it is, I guess. Just gotta keep chipping away at it each day, each week. She’ll get there eventually. Just takes patience. Lots of it.
