Okay, so I got curious about Coco Gauff the other day. You see her playing, hear her name everywhere, and I just started wondering about her background, specifically her parents. Where are they actually from?

I got a bunch of results back, naturally. Some articles popped up right away. I clicked on a few of the top ones. A lot of them immediately stated that Coco herself is American, which I already figured, but I wanted to know specifically about her mom and dad.

What I Found
Turns out, both of Coco Gauff’s parents, her father Corey Gauff and her mother Candi Gauff (whose maiden name is Odom), are American. They were both born and raised in the United States.
I also stumbled upon the fact that they both have athletic backgrounds themselves, which was interesting. Corey played basketball in college, and Candi was involved in track and field. Makes sense where Coco gets some of that talent from, I guess.
So, yeah, that was my little dive into it. Just some basic searching around until I found consistent answers across a few different places online. They’re American, through and through. Simple as that.
