Okay, so I was messing around with my golf clubs the other day, trying to see if I could get some more speed on my swing. It’s something I’ve been working on, you know, trying to improve my game.
First, I warmed up a bit. Didn’t want to pull anything, you know how it is. Just some light stretches, swinging the club easy, getting the blood flowing.
Then, I got down to business. I grabbed my driver, teed up a ball, and started taking some swings. I tried different ways of holding the club, but it feels weird, and I tried different ways of standing, all to figure out what I am doing. It’s all about the technique, right?
- How you hold the club
- How you stand
I was really focusing on generating power from my legs and core, not just my arms. My buddy told me that’s where the real speed comes from. I took a bunch of swings, each time trying to put a little more oomph into it.
After a while, I took a break and did a little digging online. I found out that the pros are swinging at, like, 110 to 124 miles per hour! That’s crazy fast. That was the moment that I realized how much work I still had to do.
Anyway, I went back out there and kept at it. I think I managed to get a few swings up a bit in speed, but it’s tough to tell without one of those fancy trackers. I might have to invest in one of those gadgets someday.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure in trying to increase my club head speed. It’s a work in progress, that’s for sure. But hey, every little bit helps, right? I’ll keep practicing and see where it takes me. Maybe one day I’ll be hitting those 110 mph bombs, who knows!
If you guys have any tips or tricks you’ve picked up along the way, I am all ears. It is always good to have some new ideas to try out on the course.
To be continued
I will keep you guys posted on my progress. Hopefully, I will have some good news to share soon.
