Okay, so I’ve been hyped about College Football 25, right? And I finally got around to figuring out what the deal is with the deluxe versus standard editions. It took a bit of digging, but here’s what I found out.
First off, I started by checking out the different versions available. There’s the Standard Edition, which is like the basic, no-frills version, and then there’s the Deluxe Edition, which is pricier but comes with some extra goodies. I think the standard edition is around $70 and the delux one is about $100, don’t remember exactly.
I dug into what the Deluxe Edition offers. Turns out, it’s all digital, so no physical copy. But, it gives you early access to the game – three whole days before everyone else. That was a big plus for me, because who wants to wait, right? Plus you will get 4600 College Football Points, I guess it is some kind of in-game money just like the Madden’s. I was like, cool, I can get a head start.
Then, I looked at the other stuff. The Deluxe Edition also includes something called an “Alma Mater Ultimate Team Pack.” I’m not a huge Ultimate Team guy, but from what I gather, it lets you pick a player item from a bunch of schools, like 134 of them or something, to add to your team. And there’s another one called a “Cover Athlete Ultimate Team Pack,” so yeah, more Ultimate Team stuff.
Oh, and it throws in a “Bring Glory Home Ultimate Team Uniform Item.” I figured, why not? More customization options are always cool.
After all that, I weighed the pros and cons. The early access was really tempting. The extra Ultimate Team stuff was nice, but not a huge deal for me since I mainly play the dynasty mode. But I figured if I’m already getting the game, might as well go all in, right?
So, I ended up going for the Deluxe Edition. I pre-ordered it, and now I’m just counting down the days. I also read somewhere that some of the best Pipelines are like East Texas, Central Florida, and Southern California, but I don’t know much about this part. I’m just super stoked to finally play a new college football game. I heard that if you pre-order the Standard one you also get some bonuses such as the points and Heisman Hopeful Ultimate Team Pack, that’s pretty cool, too.
Hope this helps anyone else trying to decide which version to get!
